How cowardly, cruel and inane! i'm running out of words, but i wish i had a BIG club for those that are clubbing the seals. And i wish i had a badge so ii could punish those who bought or put the carcases into the line of commerce. i'd put them into the very same cages they expect lions to live in.

It is beyond grief and beyond belief. I fear for all of us, with this dreadful collective karma we are reaping. I can hardly socialise with people any more, I get so upset and angry about our treatment of animals, and so little understanding and empathy from the average person I meet about why I feel this way. Our whole attitude needs to change, across the entire Planet, towards our relationship with all the animals in the wild. They are not there to make coats from, or boots, or medicines, or anything else. They are there to live side by side with us, to teach us, for us to learn from them and to love them. We MUST instil this into our young children from their very earliest years. But whilst we remain able to torture each other, maim each other, starve each other and constantly murder each other, to the point of genocide, then it seems we will remain incapable of treating animals with love and respect, and quite capable of committing species genocide, as in the tragedy enfolding for these baby seals in Namibia. It is grotesquely unbelievable, but once again the Chinese seem to be involved, creating a market and driving demand, all for financial gain, as if there's nothing else worthwhile in this world to strive for. Please try to enlighten them that they are so very very wrong.

Namibia, Canada and Norway I believe are the countries most involved in this reprehensible action of murdering baby seals. If I am not mistaken, Canada went up against the EU about their ban on Canadian seal products and the EU won, thankfully. I have no problem with subsistence taking of seals by indigenous peoples of Canada's north. But wholesale slaughter for profit is cruel and wrong, no matter where in the world.
