Another case about a dog named Buster, a pure bred red nose pit 100% banned breed seized by BCC 2 Months after Lennox, hidden away from family for 22 months, who was used for breeding was excerpted & returned to his owner in November 2011! WHY NOT LENNOX?

Lets kick some reason out of their decisions. Let them explain. Anyway, you don't hear them explain anything about Lennox yet. What about Lennox has been the question for a to long time. Not answering means they have no reasons and we're right: so keep up the fight. Everyone hold on......and keep spreading the word. More and more people get the understanding of this, but Lennox is still suffering.
Its all unbelievable inefficient and useless, no wonder they've been fighting each other.

I've always felt from the many articles I've read and even some of Victoria Stillwell's comments that the BCC has acted particularly vindictive toward the Barns family. In an early article, it had mentioned that when the Barns family had called to try to talk to the head dog warden shortly after Lennox was seized, they were told that if they didn't allow them to put Lennox down immediately and if the Barns made the decision to fight them in court to save Lennox, that Craig Barns could lose his job. Also after that, every time the Barns family tried to call to see how Lennox was doing, the dog wardens refused to speak with them.
Quote from Victoria Stillwell, Although I’ve previously given the benefit of the doubt about the BCC’s motives, I now fear that their collective decision-making has been clouded by personal and potentially vindictive reasoning while exhibiting an unreasonable obstinance to even exploring positive solutions. I sincerely hope they relent and accept my offer of an all-expenses paid, face-saving rehoming process for this poor dog,”
Now that I've heard about Buster who was a pit bull being returned to his family (who was used for breeding yet and what about the DDA in Belfast or BSL legislation which supposedly prohibited the ownership of pit bulls especially during that time- as the amendment to the DDA hadn't even been approved of then and ironically that is the reason the courts ruled against Lennox being returned was that the amendment was passed after Lennox was seized! And yet they returned Buster who was used to breed more illegal dogs in Belfast according to this legislation! Did someone accept a bribe here? And it sounds like it was done very covertly and this family didn't have to go through a lengthy and expensive court battle! It seems like they have a particular vendetta toward the Barns family. Is it based on a political motive?
"There's something a foul in Denmark or should I say Belfast." The BCC seems to be unreasonably vindictive toward the Barns family.

I cannot believe that this nice boy is being treated so dreadfully, when other dogs are being allowed to go home. Lennox is a good boy, who needs to be allowed to have a happy life from now on. Something is indeed wrong with this case. Thousands of people all over the world are pleading for the release of this innocent dog, to be met with cold refusal and no compassion whatsoever. It's as if BCC are digging their heels in and are determined to make an example of Lennox. I am horrified. This is not a point scoring exercise. This is Lennox's life. This is serious and important, and BCC must surely realise that the options open to Lennox do make a difference to how they deal with him. They can allow him to go to a happy, safe new life. There is NO REASON ON EARTH that they should deny him his chance of happiness. I hope with all of my heart for this good boy.

thanks Michelle. Why indeed! If one dog was returned, why not Lennox. Something truly does stink. Is Lennox really alive? Or are we being played? I feel like it's a case of good cop..bad cop. Is there collusion involved in this so we will never know the truth? With all of the offers made to take him to the US at no expense to Belfast, they still held fast to their decision to want this poor dog dead ( again, if he isn't already) Did they want to send out a message to all, saying that "outsiders" don't get to tell them what to do? I don't think we'll ever really know the true story and the suffering this poor dogs has had to endure is beyond horrifying. May those Belfast bastards rot and die a slow death.

I really don´t understand this. They refused to rehome Lennox, they now refuse to give the body to the family, they said they would send some ahes by mail. I copy what I read on face: "LENNOX IS BEING MURDERED
Official Statement From Lennox's Family:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all again for your messages of support. We are sorry to say at the present time Belfast city council seem to be intent on killing our boy. Despite previous assurances otherwise, we have been denied the opportunity to say goodbye. We have also been told that we cannot collect his body and bring Len home. We have been informed however that we will receive "some" ashes in the mail." The only thing I can think of is that Lennox is already dead and this bunch of SOB are trying to clean up somebodys mess´by refusing eerything..

I am finding this a little odd, I have looked in to my own countries laws on so called dangerous dogs, the UK, and I have been made aware that if the owner of a so called dangerous dog is willing to abide by certain rules ( muzzled in public and kept on a lead, possibly taking a dog training / handling course along with providing secure fencing to their property and signing a contract of care, all Dogs of a banned breed who are not a danger or dogs that have bitten once ( not a prolonged viscous attack ) but normally show obedience / friendliness, would be given a second chance if the owner is a responsible person - this is the norm in my country so what is going on here, I was advised it is not normal for a Dog to be allowed a new owner in these circumstances - are we getting the full truth from the owners and others concerned, for this law to be available all the conditions must be met by the current owner ? all I want is for Lennox to be given that chance to live.

On July 11, 2012 Lennox lost his life after a two year battle due to Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). We are here to ensure Lennox is remembered, and that he did not die in vain. We are a group of devoted animal lovers who want to see Lennox' Law come to light, and an end to BSL. We are also here to support those going through the same hell as Lennox and his family. We aim to get as many worldwide signatures as possible to present to legislature and get this horrific law abolished. Please sign and share:

I can't find the page I wanted, where the story said that Lennox HAD been put down. I can't imagine the heartbreak, frustration, anger, etc., that the family must be going through. I do have a suggestion though, and indeed, it is one where the onus should NOT be on the owners, BUT, If it is financially possible, and you have a dog that MIGHT (by those who don't know any better, or by another "expert") be considered a pit, or pit mix, GET A DNA TEST! During a "dog festival, (Woofstock ) in Toronto, in the summer of 2012/ DNA tests were being offered for 65.00. I didn't thiink I'd need to know the company name so I can't tell you, but IF, I had a dog that "could" fall in the Pit Bull category, it might be money well spent. If nothing more, it would give them a new target to fight.

I don't know about the Religions of the 2 Families involved, but knowing Northern Ireland AND Belfast I wouldn't be surprised if THAT has something to do with it.
