Heads hacked from their graceful bodies, these tragic pictures show the fate of tigers in the brutal hands of poachers. Released by police, the photo shows officers displaying heads & carcasses from 250 kg of tiger parts seized from a Malay poaching ring.

Very disturbing!! Sad.. I hope the guys they arrested will be charged fully and not let go. There needs to be major jail time. Years. Not 6 months and a fine. I'm so sad.
The good thing is that 2 were arrested but they must face extreme charges.

Thanks for posting.

If it ever becomes possible to wipe out the guilty human populations of China, Malaysia and of all the barbaric backward countries that commit such atocities against wildlife, without harming of killing any other species or causing any harmful effects on the natural environmen, then lets see it happen.

How sickening and heartbreaking. All that senseless slaughter in the name of greed. The poaching needs to stop now and harsher penalities imposed to really deter these bastards from doing such horrible things. Thanks Michelle.

A good picture would be if these bastards would be laying on the ground dead instead of the Tigers!

I will NOT look at any more of these disgusting photos or even follow the links. There are far too many of them and I did not join Care2 to view such horrors. I will gladly sign petitions as long as there are no graphic images involved as they make me physically sick. There are a growing number of us that will no longer follow links to petitions with awful photos posted at the top of the page. If people want to help the animals then they should issue strong warnings about what they will see when they follow the links. Far too many people do not give warnings and they are just hurting their cause instead of helping.

Poaching must be stopped ASAP. Before too long the only animal left alive on this planet will be the humans!

Noted, tweeted, shared, tweeted, shared and truly horrified. Every time I think humanity has reached as low as it is possible, we reach a new low. Sick, Sorry, Sad, Disgusting, Demented, Beyond Redemption!

Hi Sue. It would be disingenuous for any Care2 member to post a story with another picture from somewhere else with a news story just to be "politically correct" or "sensitive." Any person posting a news link here is a messenger. The story may be disturbing, the visuals even more so. I've posted many a petition and news story where accompanying visuals made me ill, upset, disturbed and exceedingly uncomfortable. But it is not for the news/petition poster (ie messenger/news poster) to censure the content. That is the job of Care2.

My Care2 friend and Examiner.com news reporter Bonnie said it very well in regards to sentiments like yours. She said Michelle, (and I paraphrase) animal welfare advocates provide "glass walls." They help reveal the extremely dark, uncomfortable and disturbing world of animal exploitation and cruelty to the rest of the world. There will be some who complain, others who close their eyes or bury their heads in the sand. But its important that the truth be revealed.

If the photo above makes you uncomfortable so be it. ITS A HORRIFIC INJUSTICE THESE TIGERS SUFFERED.
THE AUTHOR OF THE ARTICLE BELIEVED THE PHOTO REVEALED THE TRUTH.

For you to suggest Care2 members posting news stories and petitions should censure photo content due to the fragile sensibilities of persons such as yourself who cannot bear to look at the truth--GET A CLUE.

To post a different photo with a news story to provide a "comfort zone" for the audience would be a lie. News---especially news that reveals injustice and criminal activity---should not sugar coat the truth and cloak reality in a haze of false security. I was the messenger when I posted this story and the photo. I posted the story maintaining the integrity of the news source and the photo provided. Doing anything else would have been a lie. And I don't post news stories here with objective of exposing lies.

Nuff said. Close your eyes. Look the other way. Join another site. I'm not going to post false photos with news stories to make people like you feel "comfortable."

this is a horrific injustice. The photo made me cry, and yes it is a revealing photo. It shakes people up as the truth always does
