It is absolutely insane how long it is taking for this bill to attain enough sponsors of these souls in Congress. I pray this will be a priority to get passed! Noted and thank you Brenda.

I have noted this and sent it to a horse friend of mine in the UK, I am hoping that she might know someone over here that is linked to a British Horse society that can get something done about this horrific slaughter.

This is one of the most barbaric things the USA has ever allowed. Horses helped make our country.

Horses are a symbol of America yes it is true Horses help build our country one time we needed them so much they were priceless now we have them as pets and when people are done with them they go to the killer..How can we have a pet put so much money into feeding, shoeing, basic care not counting the horse shows then send them to slaughter...I think we the people must think something is wrong with us seriously wrong to do this. I will fight forever to stop this.

Sometimes I think we as Americans just don't have a conscience anymore, and then we have some that have no idea that this horrible thing is going on, I never knew about it till it happened to a friend of mine, she thought she was putting her 2 beautiful horses in the care of people she had met,, when it went to court they was ordered to pay restitution but instead they filed bankruptcy and she got nothing,,on top of not having her beautiful horses anymore,,,We have to put a stop to this and these killer buyers need more then a smack on the hand!!!

You know I will take every action possible on behalf of our horses. Willing this bill to pass with all my might.'s time humans started being responsible and quit breeding more horses (and dogs and cats and fish and birds) than the market could ever bear. WE are the problem it is not the animals it is US. Without irresponsibility on the part of humans there would be no marketplace for death.

I am from India and i strictly oppose any kind of cruelty on animals....but, here i must say one thing....the slaughterring will stop one day of all the people become vegetarians. Some one once said..."If Slaughterhouses had glass walls ore people would stop eating animals". So why not all of us, who support any of animal welfare cause , try and become vegetarians one by one, and teach the same to our children.

Action taken. These bills really need to be passed - immediately. I know my Rep, and I believe my Senators will be voting yes, so what's the hold up?
