This is happening a lot everywhere. I couldn't get the story up, but I rescued and "bought" 8 dogs between November and January 15th that people were either not feeding, leaving out in the cold; and had to buy a dog for $20 so I didn't get in trouble with the law, even though a puppy was running the streets freezing & starving...

THE DOGS ARE ADORABLE, AND DOGS DESERVE BETTER IS A GREAT ORGINIZATION. I REMEMBER LAST YEAR WHEN THE FOUNDER EVEN WENT TO JAIL FOR SAVING A DOGS LIFE. IT WAS LEFT FOR DEAD AT THE END OF A CHAIN AND THE FAMILY WAS GONE FOR 3 DAYS. SHE TOOK THE DOG, TOOK IT TO THE VET, AND HID IT FROM THE OWNERS SO IT COULD CONTINUE TO LIVE. IT WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET UP AND STAND AND EVEN RUN A LITTE BIT BEFORE IT GAVE UP THE BATTLE. IT HAD BEEN SO MISTREATED BY ITS OWNERS AND STARVED WITH NO WATER OR FOOD LEFT ON THE END OF A CHAIN TO DIE. SHE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN COURT BATTLES BECAUSE THE OWNERS WANTED THE DOG BACK. THEY NEVER GOT IT THANK GOODNESS. BUT SHE WAS WILLING TO GIVE IT ALL UP FOR ONE LITTLE DOG. JUST TO GIVE IT A LITTLE CHANCE AT LIFE AGAIN.

my family has 18 rescue dogs who without us would be dead or at animal control to be killed. We both have lost our jobs and are relying on our savings and any small jobs we can find. But it is truly a blessing to see all the dogs healthy happy and safe I wouldn't trade them for anything. Their well being is most important and always will be. Unfortunately due to lack of space and money 18 will be the max we can care for which is already too many We have been able to work with a rescue near us with more funds in taking some of the new found dogs we can not afford to add to our family which has been a blessing. Good t hear there are others out there.
