The same country which brought the world the "Spanish Inquisition" during the Middle Ages, continues the "tradition" of torture and cruelty in the 21st Century! The same country which claims to be a "devout" Christian/Catholic nation, practices abuse of God's creation! This is a sadistic outrage~!

I believe this MUST be brought to the attention of the European Commission on Cruelty to Animals. Although they have been exceedingly slow and apathetic in the past, there is some glimmer of hope that they may be FORCED to take action against animal cruelty. The Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) are pushing the EU Commission to ban the trade in dog and cat fur; perhaps they can also push to end these atrocities committed against bulls, bullfighting, etc.

Noted and thanks. I don't believe the venue of the "newspaper" letters is useful, as the Google translations are so PITIFULLY inaccurate, that the resulting translations are laughable! Perhaps we have a Care2 member who might be willing to translate some basic letters into PROPER Spanish? "Google translate" is simply awful! I tested the "service" in my native Russian, and the resulting translation was a TOTAL FLOP!

Noted! This is truly unfortunate. This situation reminds me a lot of the action were taking with our KleerCut campaign--trying to protect the ancient boreal forests of Canada, but instead against the logging companies that sell to Kimberly Clarke. If only the importance of forests could be universally understood!
