I am a trade unionist they came for me. They came for you. They came for every working person in America. Governor Scott Walker, along with the Koch Brothers, moved in darkness and with shameless deceit to gut the ability of dedicated laborers to bargain

Whether it be in Madison, Wisconsin; Lansing, Michigan; Boise, Idaho; Trenton, NJ; Tallahassee, Florida; Indianapolis, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee, or wherever else the ugly, anti-American cabal of ALEC-inspired goons, puppets and dictators strike next, we must not shrink from this war on America and its ability to talk back to the Big Head.

This war has been thrust upon us by the few, the arrogant and the supremely selfish. Will we rise to the challenge?

This makes me heartsick!! I keep up on what's going on through the various different organization I belong to, plus some news sheets... and the only thing I can say is... it's crazy! Do these people actually believe there's not going to be consequences? Are they actually so arrogant they think they're untouchable? The Firefighter's Union in Madison pulled all their money out of the bank that funded Walker's campaign and made it close it's doors by 3PM yesterday...I can only hope this will happen in every state that threatening to abolish collective bargaining. Sen. Chris Larson, one of the Wisconsin 14 was headed back to Wisconsin today to help with recalls. Are we rattling their cages yet? If not, Bernie Sanders introduced an Emergency Deficit Reduction Bill to Congress today, that would establish a surtax on millionaires and eliminate tax breaks for big oil and gas companies. In a poll by WSJ/NBC 81% of voters support the surtax. The country needs more people like Bernie Sanders!!

America was made in the struggle of union workers standing shoulder to shoulder in defiance of the idea that being rich means being right. That struggle is now in mortal peril, and the outcome affects all of us.

Say it brother, say it.

Every true American needs to read this. Rachel Madow exposed the republican plan to take over America and they are doing even now as we sit on our butts. Check it out:

If we don't make a stand now, then learn how to do the goose step and salute the rich and well connected. This is serious.

ON the Daily show, he showed a clip of Ronald Regan saying that if we lose our unions and collective bargining, then our country is lost. And that from the republcian hero.

And it's true.

The fact of the matter is that Governor Walker has unleashed a frontal assault on working people in his state because wealthy corporatists believe "Because I Say So" is enough. Make no mistake, friends. This is class warfare. It is brazen, unmistakable, and now out in the open. They have so much, but they want more. It has been made all too clear that they will gut your life, your rights, your everything, in order to get what they want, and what they want is absolute and total control.

Mr. Niemoller wrote his poem decades ago. It might read like this today:

First they declared corporations were "people," and I didn't complain because I'm already a person.

Then they made unlimited money "speech," and I didn't complain because the American Dream says I'll be rich someday, too.

Then they commandeered the means of production by shipping our greatest strength - manufacturing - overseas, because they don't have bothersome unions over there, and I didn't complain because WalMart has cheap stuff.

Then they bought Congress so they could write the laws, and I didn't complain because I canít be bothered to vote.

Then they bought the Supreme Court so they could cement their rule, and I didn't complain because I don't have time to pay attention.

Then they bought the news so they could convince everyone it's always been this way, and I didn't complain because it's always been this way.

Then they manhandled an election and I didn't complain because I'm not from Florida.

Then they lied us into wars and I didn't complain because I'm not a soldier, or an Iraqi, or an Afghani.

Then millions died for profit and I didn't complain because the graphics on the news were totally awesome.

Then they started locking people up because they said they could and I didn't complain because nobody locked me up.

Then they started spying on everyone because they said they could and I didn't complain because I'm a real American.

Then they came for the worker, but thanks to supply-side trickle-down economics, I don't have a job.

This truth is self-evident.

They are coming for you, and they are relentless.

Stand up.

For your country, for your family, for yourself.

Stand up.

Be heard.

Divide and Conquer is their game. They don't care if it's the Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts, your Quilting Club, an Antique Car Club....any ORGANIZATION where people are bonded in any A THREAT to them. They want NO GROUP ANYTHING, including this site. This is their biggest problem and we must stay connected and promote GROUPS of all kinds in all places.
If you want to bypass the traditional media infrastructure in case we all get shut down's something to consider: Republic Broadcasting Network (RBN) do a search.

Good one Roger R, listening to Phil Pozderac and POZITIVELY UNCONSTITUTIONAL right

Robert S (111)
Saturday March 12, 2011, 9:41 am I listen and move about the site, I see that if I were looking for info which comforted my left leaning perspectives, it is a mixed say the least. For now I will just say it is interesting. Wondering if it is a fifth column for the right wing (while selling herbal remedies) at this moment but as they don't seem to be pro Corporation either... I'm still listening. If they have both sides of the issues.. that in itself would be a positive and I'm all for it. Its my first half hour at the site Suggested by Roger.

Any info/experience with this station out there? Send me a note. Don't want to distract from the subject of this thread.

You're right. I've noticed an awful lot of right-wing hogwash masquerading as progressive analysis. You wonder if it is just naivete or trolls. I've seen links to supply side voodoo "doctors". I've seen links to pseudo scholarly articles that are just propaganda BS dressed up all nice and pretty. It's one thing to feel, "know" in your gut something. It's something else to understand the fundamentals of economics and power relationships and knowing when someone is blowing smoke up your skirt. We need to educate ourselves instead of merely reacting reflexively.

Robert S (111)

Please, I may at times be correct...but never right. :)

The next show which came up was more up my alley and stayed away from my skirt. So cool... glad I stuck with it. Diversity of perspective is to be encouraged while I shun non factual, ideology (propaganda) based media or sensational conspiracy rants which only serve to scare those in the middle we seek to enlighten/inform. I find that those on the far right shun critical thinking in favor of "knowing" and so are unreachable as zealots tend to be, and will proudly, laughably tell you all about it, given a forum.

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." G.W. Bush--Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

What is deadly serious is the rise of the angry dolt demanding too much factual information corrupts while demanding everything that doesn't fit into "belief" is left wing media lies. I do look at the so called sources of some who hope to refute science/history etc., and find upon looking that what backs up theories found there are more theories from more questionable sites, ad infinitum/nauseam. Still I look, when I can, so as to walk the walk of the open mind.

So glad to see people understand what Walker is really trying to do - end the Democratic Party, or more specifically, get rid of Obama. Because these racist pigs cannot accept that a black man is in office AND that this same black man is smarter than them!! Sad, really sad.

Robert S (111)

One must in an attempt to describe behavior use words some might call labels. That is not evidence of a closed mind but a discerning one which calls it as it is, as he sees it. Show me where I condemned while you are just sayin. And name me if you are going to talk to me Little Star.

WOW aren't you special, Robert !!!...My comment was an OPEN need to boost ones' ego with reference. Sometimes...false intellect turns to pomposity. If you think that refers to you, by all means Have it.
NO...I'm not Repug...but then I see each person and situation on it's own merits....I don't think this PLOY of Government action is anything more than Fascism , nor is it a way to kill the Dems or O...I think it is just some Power Hungry Monster, or should that be MOBster, getting away with being a BULLY while sheeple don't react to what is going on..FEAR?...APATHY?...Who knows.
I still say...One can't walk with an open mind if they are so quick to judge and make ASSumptions.
Guess that's just ME

Sometimes...false intellect turns to pomposity.

I see, as you have given in your response example.

You quoted me, but spoke not to me. Fair enough.

You say Repug but do not label or judge. Simple straightforward hypocrisy...or perhaps there are two of you, confused as to what the other says, who is attempting to lecture others. Yup, just you and you.

Little Star (56)
Saturday March 12, 2011, 6:08 pm
Actually , I was just responding in the format you seem to prefer..No lecture series, nor forced compliance to my opinion, which last time I checked...we are still allowed to give...but I won't bother you seem to want to make this into a personal conflict and I have more important things to attend to. Have a Great Life.

Robert S (111)

Who hurled the first insult?

And now...Have a Great Life?

I plan to, and your leaving, given your contribution so far, will aid in that endeavor. Decide what you think, then come back and tell us, without contradicting what you profess within the same paragraph... and you too, or two, can be... special.

First of all being from WI I have to say -- we can't give up, we have to stand tall and strong. Then the same has to be practiced in the other states that are being driven over by Koch and big corp power grab - fight for your rights, recall if you can in your state - keep the information traveling the internet media - facebook, twitter, care2, your emails - if we want democracy once again then we each and everyone of us must take part. Peaceful protest, boycott Koch and other supporters of these elected goons - Koch products:
boycott the banks who caused the crash and make sure those responsible are held accountable - make them pay back (sell every asset they have and give it back- let them go bankrupt) and then send them to prison.
recall, recall, recall if you can in your state.

It's up to US as individuals to make the difference since we are getting no help from the media.

Then read this and see if you find any similarities: share if you wish!!

There are days when outrage runs through the veins and I can stand up and fight, there are days when having battered at a steel reinforced concrete, titanium clad vault door for days it really doesn't seem to be doing anything to write and write and write to papers, to not only my city representative, state representative, state senator, federal representative, federal senators and to others on each level as well. Then I read about how much passion there is on Care, I get some sleep and find I'm ready to fight again.

I am beginning to think that individual calls and letters are better than petitions, particularly to Republicans.

Keep on fighting the good fight for everyone's America if it's yours or not. Back to the phones.

Remember that the movement in northern Africa -- Tunisia, Egypt, Libya -- and the Middle East began when one flower and fruit seller felt agrieved by an official and publicly protested (admittedly, it was a little extreme a protest -- self-immolation). You never know whether your action will be ignored, applauded, part of something new or the spark that sets the whole country afire. The only certainty is that if you do nothing, nothing will happen.
