Group homes and networks are helping mothers in Congo to counter harsh discrimination as well as their frequent reluctance to accept children of rape. In Easter DR of Congo hundreds of thousands of women have been victims of sexual violence.

Noted. Thanks Martha. What an awful dilemma for the mother to be in. It would be only too human to resent the child and for it to be a constant reminder of the rape and suffering. However the wonder of a Mothrs love can transend mountains. Within she knows the child is innocent and if she can plumb the depths of unconditional love the bond between mother and child can flourish.
These women and children deserve all the help they can get.
