It's so sad so many humans didn't realize the damage this is causing... we all should understand we should protect them and most of all respect them.
We (humans) look like some disease destroying everything around us... CONCIOUS PEOPLE... PLEASE...

Like the Dodo these will for future generations become fanciful illustrations in picture books. It is a sad fact that mankind cannot live peaceably with his own fellow man yet alone have proper respect for the animal kingdom. Urban way of life and ignorance linked to the fascination that some have to point guns, fishing rods and all other deadly weapons at nature, is wiping these noble beasts off the planet for ever.
Last one out please switch off the light!

It is so sad that most of this is caused my humans either taking their habitat or by other destruction by humans. Natural selection is one thing, but in a way, this is murder. It's disgusting.

It depresses me to no small degree that two of the ten are primates, our "cousins" on the evolutionary tree. I often wonder why we treat our own species with such contempt, I guess it shouldn't surprise me that we care so little about the other animals on this planet.

I think it's obscene, disgusting, and outrageous that the human species places money above any and ever living being. One of these days the Mother is going to do something about Her 2-legged parasites (Mankind)!

Nick......I agree.

We have not a grain of decency in our bones!!

A DESERT WILL LAST FOREVER & SO CAN A FOREST......PLANT TREES FOR LIFE....

Maybe one day man will find himself on the extinction list due to his disregard for all life on the planet...

I am not thrilled with the possibility of these species becoming extinct nor with any other species on earth.

bush and his crony, Secretary dirk kempthorne, plan to gut the Endangered Species Act with ILLEGAL manuverings. This could have a ripple effect to other species in other parts of the World. Please sign one of the few petitions to stop this madness.

PETITION: one of them:

These numbers are SO low it doesn't look good. And it doesn't look like poachers will ever stop til all money animals are gone. Building has always been uncontrolled without thought. We just keep self destructing and don't even know it. so sad

The last time I saw a 'full-blooded' Red Wolf was 1985 in East Texas. They are all gone now. All that remains in the Big Thicket is Coyote/Red Wolf hybrids. If one goes deep (very DEEP) into the Piney Woods of the Big Thicket one may hear them but one will never see them. They know Man for what it is and wisely remain in the shadows of the tall pines and dense brush. But they are there.

Man, in Its ignorance, knows nothing of this world and in Its arrogance, kills that which is greater than Itself.

"Man, in Its ignorance, knows nothing of this world and in Its arrogance, kills that which is greater than Itself."

Terrie...That statement touched me deeply. There's a knowing look in the eyes of these creatures that sometimes says, "Oh, if you only knew how rich life could be..." It breaks my heart because our responsibility is to protect the creatures of the earth.

We failed.
