"RAY SUAREZ: You're saying that the national legislature of this country, rather than doing the will of the citizens of the United States, passed that Iran resolution, sanctioning the Republican Guard, because of the American- Israeli Political Action Committee?

MIKE GRAVEL: Wait a second. They'll be some information coming out about how this thing was drafted. So the answer is yes, the short answer.

Let me tell you how serious this is, Ray, because if we touch Iran and they respond, you're talking about, in the minimum, a world depression, because the oil industry will just get shut down at the Straits of Hormuz. That's the minimum.

The worst that will happen will be a nuclear exchange, and I don't think we'll ever be able to contain once they start shooting bombs at each other nuclear devices. This is what's at stake with this resolution. And it's the height of immorality, irresponsibility, and the United States Senate, with the Democrats in charge, voted for the passage of this resolution. It doesn't get any worse than that, Ray."

James, thank you for this post.
Why is it that the "good guys",
Mike Gravel, Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich,
always seem to be the ones who run at
1%, 2%?. Either the polls are screwed-up
or people are! Are there really that many
people who love Guiliani or Hillary?
I doubt it.
If we back people like Gravel, Paul or
Kucinich, and back that man with everything
possible, and if after election day, that man
has not won, at least we'll be able to say
we did everything we possibly could have
done, and that's all we can do.

I agree Tim, there's is no telling how many elections have been fixed now that the lid is off that can. We may have an entire different history if we knew the answer to that question. Who's to say they wont do it again or if it hasn't always been a fix? They are already putting things in place to spin the vote. Can we trust these "Polls"? The polls "have" to work out to the vote or something will smell fishy with the public, like after the Bush v/s Kerry so-called election. If we could get 2 of the above to team up, and make sure we get a "real" election.....then!! Thanks James, noted.
