Bad news I would not doubt they are being sold in the sex slave trade or something to that nature.
I agree polly this happens to much and to often no one is arrested!!!
Thanks Terry

It certainly sounds like the sex slave trade. It wouldn't surprise me if the authorities in the area were being bribed, but probably just have their hands tied. These women were probably taken to another area, probably over the border into the US. Their pictures should be distributed as missing persons in the US. Its a damn crying shame, the FBI should be looking for them.

24 teen girls disappearing in 18 months?! Juarez isn't that big a city that this isn't a significant number. I suppose this story is hidden under the drug wars coverage, but police don't appear to be doing enough! I feel for the parents, and hope this gets seriously investigated.
Thanks Terry.

I am sad to say that this has been happening in CD. Juarez for a number of years now.
There is a special task force set up and the number of women dissapearing in that City
have not gone down. Cd. Juarez is one of the worst city for women to live in of the Americas.
Women's rights groups have tried, human rights, Marches ect...... Slave trade maybe, Murders... may times the
womans bodys are found months later in the middle of the desert. The truth be known, years of outrage here
in Mexico to no avail. Over 400 young women are missing or dead.

I thank you all,

Terry, thanks for bringing this story to the attention of so many. We have lots of immigrants from Chihuahua in the Denver metro area. I'll keep my ears open for what my ESL students have to say and will look for any local coverage to pass on.
