I heard last night that they have discovered that he planned this escape. He had taken a lot of clothes and had been hoarding pre-packaged food. He took a backpack with him--and none of the people watching these patients thought to check his backpack. There was 1 guard to 3 patients. There were 31 criminally insane patients on this Fair trip. They were obviously not in any kind of restraints. Amazing to me that this was allowed to happen at all--EVER......

Kind of like having the fox watching the hen house. I would think there is going to be an influx in the unemployment line in Spokane- to say the very least! Freak'n IDIOTS- actually, ALL of them were idiots - patients AND staff!

they won't do a thing about it, the second time he escaped? why does he get a pass to the outside? he is insane, yah, but still a criminal, he should be locked up and kept on meds, pray he doesn't murder again. how many kids at a fair? wow, I have to think the people running this facility are the ones not working with a full deck.

My dearest friend lost a son to a psychotic murderer. Why in world would they let this guy out at a fair and not have him cuffed and chained? Idiotic.

I sincerely don't believe everyone can be cured or even brought to a level of being functional in society. Being lax with hospital security is one reason why so many mentally ill people are in jails and prisons. People don't trust the hospitals to keep murderers secured. People should be treated, not imprisoned. But murderers must be secured, no matter if they are mentally ill. Hospitals should do better with security.
