Perhaps it hit more than one of us as horrible but funny...I wonder how many saw this plot in an Adam Sandler movie and that was the connection...We must also remember slapstick humor has been around for ever..a pie in the face is always funny when it's not your face !

Litha Mooooooon.. at least you have a good sense of humor... I am sure this golfer would of loved to of had you there to keep his spirits up he he... On the serious side.. the golf course should be held responsible for this, as it is their responsibility to see that the course is safe, and that there are no hidden things hiding in the Bunkers...

Very funny-I read it first in the sf chronicle. Why kill the gator? That always ticks me off. I guess he can't play golf with only one arm. Do they call the guilty gator The One Armed Bandit?????

Thannnxxx Terry... Guess the golf course should be held accountable for not ensuring the golfers safety on the greens... This golfer didn't get his eagle...

I too got a giggle from the story. Geesh, Some golfers will do anything to raise their handicap! :)

The golf course is in the habitat of the gator, why kill it.
