A colossal fossilised skull of a 'sea monster', possibly the biggest of its kind ever found, has been discovered along Britain's Jurassic Coast.

Well it is said that to know our future we must study the past! this in hopes of repeating the same mistakes.

As an amateur paleontologist, I really am joyful in hearing of these new discoveries.

Pliosaurs were around during Jurassic and Cretaceous periods and some species were estimated to get as large as 15 m. This actual find however elipses those estimations by 3 ft.

For a mouth that size equipped with razor sharp teeth, this was one mean dude and had to be a big eater of big prey.

Thanks much Lone W.
