I recommend that people train in self-defence to develop awareness and combat skills to fend off rapists, and I recommend that people join or start women's rights organisations, and support political parties that truly campaign for women's rights, such as socialist parties. Such parties promote egalitarianism in the media (instead of the capitalist media's promotion of sexist ideas), and promote women's movements (like the one in Cuba) and programs which reduce and stop rape and sexual abuse by those who commit it most: relatives and other people who know the victim.

If they have caught the right persons, I say WELL DONE!, now the next step is to make sure he remains off the streets and in custody for life.
