It was just north of here on the Colville Rez that I had my first close up encounter with a bald eagle. Driving down the highway this incredible bird flew along beside us at window level for about a tenth of a mile. Then he swerved off and disappeared. I swear his wing span looked to be 12 feet but we were so enthralled at the time we may have over estimated. As soon as he left, we stopped the car. Everyone jumped out and we leaped around and whooped for quite a while before we were calm enough to continue on. There are eagles where I live now and I've been fortunate to observe the raising of babies by a pair who live nearby. Such magnificent animals. it still takes my breath away to watch them. Thanks lots Terry

wonderful news. We have bald eagles here to. They are really magnificent. I've had a pair of them fly just in front of my car on an early morning ride. I, too, had to stop the car and look.

I love Bald Eagles. Near to me there is a bird of prey centre where I take pictures of two Bald Eagles called Danebury and Cheyenne, they are so intelligent and have such an amazing bond with their handlers.
Well done to the lady helping the Eagle.

What wonderful people to care enough about these beautiful birds. They are a true sign of blessing and watching where I grew up. We are blessed to see these wonderful birds, I am glad to hear others are helping
