I hope they compensate these kids, and prosecute those teachers to the fullest extent of the law.

It is so sad to see another story of abuse, I also hope that they can prosecute and punish the teachers that were responsible for the abuse and fully counsel and compensate those who were abused. I went to a convent school for 14 years and only encountered women who dedicated their entire lives to their pupils, an odd one was strict or cross, (everyone encounters different teachers) but we never experienced abuse. Those poor children away from home it must have been a terrible experience. We must always protest at child abuse and press for greater child protection but that can be hard when 97% happens in the home or by people close to the family, we must all be vigilant about protecting our children.

Wow. It seems to be everywhere. Why do people think they have the right to abuse the innocent.

The lack of respect with which children are treated transcends all racial, religious and socio-economic barriers. Often when they tell, they are simply not believed. Threatened into silence, many feel there is no one they CAN turn to.

"OMG....demons hiding behind the religion."

What "religion"? Can't you even read (and possibly understand) the headline? That is a PROGRESSIVE, secular, "reform" school. Demons my behind!
