These animals should not be born in zoos in captivity. They should be born in the wild, but even now the wild, their habititas are unsafe due to hunters, poachers etc.

They should definitely be born in the wild so that they don't die if they are ever reintroduced to the wild.

Another argument against animal testing on products to be used by humans (remember thalidomide). So a giraffe pregancy technique is not applicable to antelopes, Who's surprised about that?

Because human beings are basically idiots, sometimes zoos are needed. The oryx had been hunted to extinction in Arabia by doofuses machine gunnign them from their Mercedes, and none would be alive today if we had not gotten some of them away from the Arabs and kept them in zoos in civilized countries.
