Predators are always going to move with the times and will always use the tools available to them--it's up to parents to stay vigilant, law enforcement to stay current with technology and with whatever is happening on the internet and kids to take their own safety very seriously.

The girl is lucky she wasn't murdered. The internet can be a dangerous place.

This is what is wrong with the world today, parents are letting thier children do whatever they want, and monitering your child's access to the web is a MUST!

I don't know what makes me more mad, the story, or the fact that he is " Out of jail right now" What if he does this again? But now with our justice system I am sure if he "behaves" himself in Jail, then he will get out in 5 years or less. I think the world needs to wake up and parents need to be involved with children more! If we educate to parents and children about the dangers that are out there, we might be able to save a lot more lives! This girl is lucky, and I am sure she has learned her lesson.

More parents need to use "Tough Love" with their children. There are more preditors out there than a lot of people realize. There are web sites that will show you right where they live. Check it out and you may be surprised to find one of those suckers living next door. Be very careful of whom your children associate with.

Wow, parents really do need to be vigilant about what their kids do online. It is quite dangerous and this little girl is LUCKY to be alive today and back home with her family.
