Yet they have money for unnecessary wild horse roundups and buffalo roundups, plus subsidizing the cattle industry at a loss for the taxpayers and a ton of other crap I'm sure we don't know about. Or putting the American taxpayer on the hook for the BP oil spill.

People are clueless if they think this insignificant cut in the overall big picture is a problem. The news is filtered as well as the internet and sanitized for the governmentís convenience. The resources people are paying for are siphoned off and reallocated to higher priorities. The priorities are the wars and corporate bailouts just to name a few. Look around and take inventory of America and compare it with other countries. And please stop saying New York is the greatest city in the world. There are modern cities built in other countries that makes New York a low lying rat infested run down has been. Our infrastructure is falling apart bridges, power grid, roads, parks, services, health care, dams, etc. If you think what I am saying is incorrect then allow your search engine to surf the web. We are cut off from information and feed the slogan we are the best and most powerful nation in the world. Letís face it; there are many countries that possess the capability of destroying the majority of life on this planet. Therefore how anyone labels one super power superior to the other is beyond me.

America is not the unified country it was 50 years or more ago. It is heading for failure just like all civilizations because there is no caring for the country or pride. Who really run your government not Americans

Instead of closing it completely park officials could reduce hours (i.e., Thu - Sun & Holidays). Reducing waste, fraud, & abuse in state expenditures would go a long way, too.
