Republicans (which I am not) argue the free-market system promotes the greater good for the lowest price. As a conservative I see that this is not the case. Halliburton was not bid on competitively, and we see the result.

The problem is rampant throughout the executive and legislative branches. Recently disgraced scientist James D. Watson was earmarked for $900,000 by the New York senators - several days after donating $3,000 to Sen. Clinton. Anybody can donate to a politcian and receive largesse for their pork project in return.

What we need is an end to earmarks. Does anyone remember Madame Speaker's famous speech? After she was sworn in in January, she had a change of heart - she decided to keep earkmarks, but changed the name so they were no longer earmarks.

I say impeach the entire government why stop with Bush and Cheney? Impeach Madame Speaker, Dingy Harry (the Democrats support the violations of the consittution, including the illegal wars, as much as the Republicans), everyone except Kucinich.

Another black mark for Bushco and their ilk. Cheney's Halliburton could care less about the safety of the soldiers or contractors. They just want more PROFITS!

Where's the outrage about this from all the gawd fearin' christians, party aparatchiks, and loyal "patriotic" flag wavin' flaming wackos who are 1st in line to hurl the vituperations of traitor at antiwar protestors?
Clearly Haliburton is the REAL ENEMY of the U.S. and its troops. Consumer advocate Ralph Nader warned us, back in 1973, of the dangers to the U.S. by an emerging overall growth of Corporate concentration [of power and resources] Corporatocracy State (Haliburton, et al) in his (coauthored w/Mark Green) book "Corporate Power In America."

"...The overriding fact then, is that those who make our laws and appropriate public funds have tacitly accepted the assumptions that business ought not to be interferred with..." Andrew Hacker, Professor of Political Science, of Government, and editor of "The Corporation Takeover' and `The end of the American Era," et al.

I think malapropist Bush, "Lon" Cheney and rest of that mental dimwit crowd are too far gone to be tried for their crimes; they shgould simply be hanged at the closest yardarm (or nearest tree) and their hidden assets and all their properties to be sold and all monies from the sales distributed to all victims of their war mania policy ASAP!
