BP actually told the clean-up workers that if they wear the respirators, they're fired!! So, essientially, BP should be charged with manslaughter.

The total unconcern for the lives and health of the people, wildlife, the habitats is criminal and inhuman. But that is par for the course for corporations. They have no feelings, no concerns, no humanity. They are only paper charters which have been given the right to be utterly irresponsible, ruthless and brutal. And that infects all who become the servants of the corporations and who in turn are expected to brutalize anything and anyone that might stand in the way of maximizing profits.

It was not always this way. There was a time when corporations had responsibilities, when the failure to fufill them meant the death of the corporation by cancelling its charter.

We can restore that responsibility in a number of ways if we want to. Do you?
