From sushi venues, restaurants and grocery stores, the fish you are eating could very well be mislabeled.

WTF? Can't trust anybody these days. No more tuna at the sushi place, then!

Hardly surprising given the fraud rampant in the food industry. We even have honey filled with HFCS, olive oil that is only partially olive oil in big chain grocery stores. So, why would fish be any different? Buying the spice...saffron...guess what, it may not really be saffron after all!

Heaven only knows what we buy in grocery stores. Even some Farmer's Market are falling suspect.

Noted with little surprise here. Buy only locally caught fish, in the summer...can't go wrong there.

So very true, there are fraudsters everywhere. Buying a high end Gucci bag? As the old saying goes...be it food or anything else, it is always 'buyer beware,' especially if the price seems ...just too good. Even if not, well as we all know, there are those who are dishonest.

Appears to be a problem in Sushi venues, or with the "type of....".

It seems the Greedy with their cheating and lying, are winning because of their numbers & funds.

imposer fines and pay for more inspectors: that's the only way to change this mess.
