Monsanto is aiming to take full control of the world's seed supply, hiding any reports or studies proving that GMOs do damage to the ecosystem and human health.

Yep, currently the peeps in the UK & EU think they are protected from Monsanto & friends and are shocked to find out GMOs are already growing in Portugal and Spain and just approved in France. They do not realize how much is being imported (400,000 tonnes just from the taxpayer subsidized US but also Argentina, Brazil, and now Columbia, Bolivia and Paraguay) to feed the animals in CAFOs for meat, milk & eggs (none of which have to be labeled as GMO fed).

Nor do they realize that many cereal crops they eat directly which are not currently GMO are sprayed with round-up to dry them down for harvesting. Beans, rice, and more are full of Monsanto's baby making Germans among the most prolific carriers of the toxin in their bodies.

But now there is regulations on seed permissions and regulations and having to get Brussels to sign off on what can be grown in one's own yard.

Not very many people showed up in London for the MAM March. But... LOTS of people saw it as it went by.

Sorry, not sure what was in my head when I typed the numbers because they are far worse than that. The EU imports about 30 *million* tonnes of GMO feed per year, much of that taxpayer subsidized by Americans.

Bet y'all didn't know you were helping to buy McD's burgers & KFC chicken for everyone in Europe (and beyond).

Yeah - it's pretty awful stuff and the more we find out about Monsanto and GMOs the more we will realise that it might be too late to stop this rolling giant stomping on our right to eat natures bounty in its natural forms.

I am beginning to think this company might be more intent on killing us all than feeding us - could this be a "conspiracy." Am I being a little bit paranoid? Hmmm I don't think so. Thailand just found that one of its Nestle baby foods is made with GMOs - Nestle doesn't use GMOs in baby foods in other countries... why is that? It seems that GMOs are forced onto the poor of this world.. why is that? Because it looks to me like the GMO companies want to poison the poor rather than to help them.

Golden Rice (not produced by Monsanto but it is a GM product) is supposed to provide necessary nutrition to the poor of asia, preventing blindness from poor diets, but wouldn't it have been better to provide the education and means to harvest more diverse crops than just rice? Great Britains Environment Secretary, Owen Patterson is a big supporter of Golden Rice and slams naysayers as "wicked" people.

The fight is on... and both sides are saying the other is evil! May the force be with you Luke Skywalker!

Um actually, most baby formulas in the US and Canada are indeed full of GMO if not organic.

Literally dripping with it. If we had one clue of what they are made of we'd be up in arms about it and horrified if we happened to have fed one of our own children with anything from Nestle, or Mead Johnson or Similac.

Corn syrup solids is one big ingredient... and then a bunch of known allergens. :(

I have been in such a quandary regarding this subject. Here in Seattle, there will be a vote on the labeling of GMOs soon. Each side sounds so convincing. But, I know how I am going to vote~~I want my food labeled.

“Give me control of a nations currency and I care not who makes its laws.” -Baron Rothschild.
Monsatano's creed must be on a similar line - Give us control of the worlds seeds and we don't care ...

I've never heard of an evil so determined as these devils are to get their poison out there among people, animals, and the environment. Now, they want to sell their wares in Europe, and I hope for heaven's sake people will be three steps ahead of them and tell Monsanto where they can go.

Hey Barbara, a lot of people in the EU are not aware GMO is already there. They believe they are protected but it is growing in Portugal, Spain, Croatia, and just approved for France. There are even some crops growing in the UK. Further, there is 30 million tonnes imported for animal feed so people get it indirectly if consuming any animal products, and there are several ingredients that do not have to be labeled as GMO such as abscorbic acid which come from GMO sources.

Also in the UK the HFCS equivalent is called corn glucose.
