a trademark of Rupert Murdoch's right-wing media empire. There was Uncle Sam, brandishing a revolver and wearing a burglar's mask. "UNCLE SCAM," the headline shouted. "US robs bank of $13 billion."Say what? Pure whitewash, and Murdoch's minions know it.

During the Depression, the banks were, from what I recall, hated as villains. Looks as if it's time to hate banks again. I am moving closer and closer to closing my account with Bunk of America (no, that's not a typo - that's on purpose) and moving to a credit union.

Better them than us. Where did the banks get all of that from? Bad mortgage loans.
Mark Twain once said that a banker is someone who will loan you an umbrella when the sun is shinning then take it back when it rains.
It seems they have changed very little.

The trick would be to get people to check facts for themselves instead of believing everything they are told. Not one shred of sympathy for banks from me...
