"Millions of women and girls still lack the opportunity to take part in politics and business, to own the land they've farmed all their lives, to choose their own husbands - and to say "no" when they want to. You can help change that."

Every four minutes in Bangladesh, an infant dies because its mother didnít have access to proper pre-natal and post-natal care. Every 45 minutes, a woman in Bangladesh dies from complications in pregnancy or childbirth.

BRAC trains and deploys a network of health promoters to provide basic nutrition and care to pregnant women and their newborns. With $150, BRAC can provide life-saving nutrition to five mothers and their newborn babies. Early childhood nutrition dramatically reduces the number of health complications later in life. Your gift toward nutrition will have lifelong impact.

Brian i wish i could send money but the best i can do right now is to share this BRAC fundraiser on Twitter and with friends.
Thank you so much for posting on behalf of women worldwide who surely deserve medical care and so much more.

Sending a Green Star is a simple way to say "Thank you"
You cannot currently send a star to Rosemary because you have done so within the last week.

They are our mothers and our sisters.
They are our friends and our lovers.
They are our leaders and our workers.
They are our warriors and our healers.
It is time that we open our civilization globally to the gifts that await us when women are free to flower uniquely as each of them wish. We need women to guide us to a better way of life in which cooperation and gentleness become the predominant values. Only then will we be able to heal our nations and our planet.
