Unfortunately New Zealand tends to side with a major financial trading partner, Japan, as it has for some time, in refusing to enforce its Antarctic Treaty territory /and Sanctuary areas against their attempts to kill whales illegally.

I'm a visitor to NZ and my brother is a part-time resident. Although the people seem to be good, the government allows much corporate influence.

Veronique, it has been common in care2 for a couple years for people to use the comment capacity to make vacuous and repetitive notes, perhaps in abuse of the "butterfly" credits, or for some other reason.

While not as offensive as trolling, it has made me feel that I'm aboard some kind of ship of idiots here.

Perhaps there is some way care2 would deny this bogus "signed and noted" "shame" etc., spam.

If you understand and disagree with such unethical pretense at adding to discussion, we all could do something to bring the value of comment far, far higher, by helping to remove the capacity for such phoniness.
