The so-called 'Monsanto Protection Act' will now expire. The protection for biotech giant Monsanto and similar GMO producers, however, will no longer be tied to the bill, according to a statement from the press office of Senator Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon).

I know, I'm so thrilled that I'm just holding my breath...this is such profound news...I hope it sticks...I hope there isn't some trick or end run around this. One gets so used to bad news, good news is really quite stunning.
