Wall Street rapes the economy; fossil fuel corporations poison the earth, air, and water; and corporate interests decide whether another generation of young people need to go fight and die in wars that few of them understand the reasons behind them: it's all about the profit of a few and the enslavement of all of the rest of us. Unregulated capitalism is by its nature predatory and toxic, and those who profit most from it do not care if they bleed all of us dry.

Pity. I am all for capitalism, but it must have a heart and a soul and a conscience. Unfortunately, not many CEOs have the self-restraint to think of more than just dollars. That is why we need some regulation of business to protect workers and the environment. This is why I have been stepping away from the Libertarian party lately. Capitalism is like fire - a fearful servant, a terrible master. It is also like The Force - it keeps the cosmos going, but has a very seductive and horribly destructive dark side.
