So little is written or known about breast cancer in young women. This lady is doiing wonderful activism as well as fighting a horrific illness.

Good article Gayle. Wow - what a young women.

Just had another mammogram - it was another one of my weird infections...not a recurrence, I'm happy to say. Always a little scary, but what a relief...

JoAnna - I didn't know your husband died from cancer. Sorry to hear that.

Jo, hugs sweetie........ my dad died of cancer,
Gayle sweetie........ wonderful story!
I have 2 sister-in-laws that had and fought breast cancer along with a very dear friend of mine. I use to work in a breast care center, it's amazing how women pull together to help each other fight this.

How true Dian. The support group I was in was a great group of women who were all really supportive of one another. It was in New York. I've moved from there, but am still in touch with several of them.

Gayle thank you for the article...many young women think this is something that happens to older women...years ago there was this young woman on my bowling league & she had breast cancer & she was only 32...I contacted breast cancer in my early 50's & had to have bi-lateral mastectomy...I had always done my exams & got my mammograms faithfully but this cancer was very rare & it was deep down so I couldn't find it myself but the mammogram picked it up...thank goodness the doctors got it all...but a couple of my younger friends were not as lucky...thanks for the article...noted

Thank you Gayle for bringing this to the Care2 News..I hope it has made it to the front page..
I have lost several cousins..two of them were well under 30..
It's so important to get this out in the open and educate those who feel they are too young..
It is a heart warming story even in the sadness..as I like to reflect on the courage and strength..and inspiration these women give to each other..
Thanks again for this story..
Well noted..

LATER ON, HE DEDICATED HIS LIFE TO BREAST CANCER, AND ALWAYS RESEARCHING.I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT ALL HIS PATIENTS, AND WAS HAPPY AS HE WAS WHEN THEY WERE CURED . SORRY TO SAY ALL THAT IN YOUR COMMENT. HUGS

Great story LadyGayle! These are the kinds of things I like to see in the news. Things we can do something about! Something that will make people think ann react just as they have in this theead. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Dikla Beenzeevi is a great example of a strong and determined woman. Cancer has nearly become a relative word. It has touched all of our lives in one way or another and I say BRAVO to Ditla and LadyGayle for both doing their part as far as activism goes!
