The Comet ISON shines like a cosmic skyrocket in a new video from the Hubble Space Telescope as the icy wanderer, which some astronomers have billed as a potential "comet of the century," streaks through our solar system at a staggering 48,000mph.

Wowser! I bought a book of photos from the Hubble telescope as a Christmas Present for someone last year - wish I'd kept it for myself now! The photos in it were absolutely stunning.

Delightful, there is nothing like a comet of the century, not to mention fireworks on the Care2 threads!

The comet video is very brief, only 5 seconds, and is composed of just a few photos.

Stupendous! I remember being in the Rocky mountains of Colorado around 8500 feet in elevation when Hale Bopp came by! Wow, was that a great life experience! It was visible in our clear sky for days!
