While he stopped short of recommending rat's milk as an alternative, musician Paul McCartney did follow in the footsteps of his former wife Heather Mills by advocating for increased diets of vegetables and less meat.

We all know this. I don't think Sir Paul will make a difference - vegetarians already don't eat meat, and meat eaters won't listen.

Probably the best argument is the f^&*king wars - it takes fossil fuel, a lot, to raise beef, and eating vegetarian cuts down on petroleum profit and the war machine.

Er, I think they mean to mention his late wife Linda McCartney, a very vocal and involved vegetarian.

Paul and Linda were both outspoken vegetarians for years before her death. Certainly, Paul was advocating vegetarianism long before Heather was. Linda even had her own line of vegetarian frozen dinners. They were good, too.

I went back to vegetarianism after a long hiatus. When the Beatles were active I was a veggy then and I am now and food tastes so much better too. I really think that is pure poison they shoot those animals up with before they klill them. It is all pretty gross. There are so many choices now for meatless meals and it is much easier to get the protein you need in so many diverse products. Good luck to those of you trying it for now. Stick with it. You will feel better.

If people ate vegetarian just one day a week, it would make a huge difference. And that's something everyone should and could do easily enough.

I belive that most meat eaters are not really aware of what happens to the meat that they eat when it was alive, most meat eaters I know are able to separate the packaged meat from what it really is. It more young children were made aware then it would make better informed adults. My children grew up as veggies and have become strong healty adults, it was Linda McCartney who first made me aware of vegetarianism

there are three major changes one can do to help save the world..
1. go vegetarian ,or reduce your meat consumption to once a week.. (and be careful of the sources)
2. have less children (the world is overpopulated already)
3. use a bike, public transportation and walk
there is much more but this is basic
