What the media isn't showing in Iraq: It's a gut-wrenching 49 minutes, but worth your time. Americans, these actions are being done in our name. This is our legacy. I think everyone, no matter where you sit on the political fence... should watch this...

The war in Iraq is an immoral, illegal, and unjust war. The president and his cabal should be impeached. This war is about OIL plain and simple. If you think our presence in Iraq is a stabilizing influence there then you are seriously misinformed. There was no reason for the US to invade and occupy Iraq. The present day cabal in DC is now trying to create intelligence so US forces can attack Iran. Power and money are the driving forces behind this war.

The US and Coalition of the Killing in Iraq (mostly US, UK and a smattering of Australian forces) arenít there to stop terrorists, their presence is aggravating the damage and destruction caused by the illegal and immoral invasion. Along with psy-ops operations to whip up civil strife (divide and rule can only benefit the US neocons), the reason the US is in Iraq is primarily for two reasons: because of war profiteering (as General Smedley put is so well in 1935, War is a Racket) as well as for Israelís geopolitical ambitions in the region. Israelís bellicosity and hegemonic pretensions are also why we are seeing the beating of the war drums regarding Iran.

The terrorists are not the innocent Iraqis (almost a million) who have died since 2003 and the others who are fighting back for their country for the disgraceful war criminals Shrub, B-liar et. al.

The terrorists are Bush, Blair, Olmert and Howard.

Maj. General Smedley D Butler,USMC wrote "War Is A Racket",one of the first books exposing the military-industrial complex. At the time of his death in 1940, he was the most highly decorated Marine in U.S. history.
You can read his book for free at While you're at it, scroll to the bottom of the page to go to read Mark Twain's "The War Prayer", which was really popular back when I was getting kicked in the head by jack-booted thugs trying to end the Vietnam war back in 1967(yeah, that's why I'm so mucked up!)

Wow...everyone should watch this. I find it really disturbing that they don't want to show these pictures because they might "offend" or "upset" someone. What about the offense and upset to our soldiers and the Iraqi citizens??? I don't want to close my eyes to the horror of war - I don't think that's my right as a human being. You can walk into any movie theatre and see violence, but no one wants to upset us with showing what real violence looks like??? I think everyone needs to see the human cost of this war, no matter what your opinion on it is.

National Boycott To Impeach for Peace - Tax Day (April 15) 'til Earth Day (April 22) . . . . . Welcome to We Are NOT Buying It!!!!!!!!!! A national coalition of citizens, including war veterans, distinguished academics, students, journalists, artists, and elected officials have joined with us to call for a nationwide boycott of all consumer activity, for one week in April.

Consumers are asked to withhold their spending for seven days, beginning on Sunday April 15 and lasting until Sunday April 22, 2007.

Do NOT shop corporate outlets

Minimize use of oil and gas.

Carpool: bus, bike or walk.

If you buy, BUY LOCALLY.

Plan Ahead and Stock Up

Bush's advice after 9/11:
"I encourage you all, to go shopping more."

Our Response:
We Are NOT Buying It!

The Top Charges Against The Bush-Cheney Administration:

1. Boldly lying to Congress to start the war in Iraq
2. Use of "signing statements" to expand executive power
3. Authorizing the use of torture in violation of the Geneva Convention.
4. Authorizing the intelligence community to spy on American citizens without due process.
5. Failure to respond to warnings from the intelligence community about the 9/11 attacks.
6. Failure to respond to warnings regarding imminent levee failure in New Orleans, and grossly mishandling emergency response to Hurricane Katrina; costing the lives and property of thousands.

Of course there are many other reasons to be alarmed by the behavior of this administration: Refusing to entertain even the objective results of hard science in regards to any policy they propose, appointing ideologues in every agency in the government to stop any work that may be protecting the people from corporate predators, engaging in generally ruthless and underhanded tactics to maintain their hold on power including the use of outright propoganda and disinformation. But perhaps the clearest clue of all as to the goals of this administration lie in the direction their policies have atken our nation, and the world, over the last 7 years. Golbal war, the subversion of the Constitution and the barrage of "reforms" that have the effect of leaving us all at the mercy of those who will only use their wealth to turn the world into a poisonous and desolate wasteland

By submitting this form, I understand myself to be taking a pledge, to join forces with WeAreNotBuyingIt.Org and the National Boycott to Impeach for Peace.

I will do what I can for this initiative, and do solemnly commit my support.

We are lucky to get a fuller picture in the UK ~ I worry about the propaganda being touted in the US. Channel 4 News is probably the best TV news programme in the UK - it does not gloss over the facts & does not finish with the football scores, like all other main news programmes, which I find a hideous thing to put at the end of a news programme...

This why I joined Care2, because we learn and keep informed about issues. I truly believe that these so called insurgents are really the citizens of Iraq trying to protect there communties and families. People getting killed everywhere. I read Kevin Sites when he was in the mosque during that particle incident. Apparently the people where innocent. and unarmed. How heartless and cold. Is it that they become desensitized with the Iraqi people and only see them as enemies. What are they becoming? It's horrible. War is horrible. Haven't we seen enough. Vietnam, Gulf War, any war. How many soldiers come home from war and are changed forever? I have read that some become awol, kill family members, have to go to psychiatrist. Some look fine, and then can't sleep because of nightmares. Depression. I believe Bush is destroying America and the American people only for gaining natural resources, OIL. Instead of helping the American people. Shame on him and all who support him in any war. He is nice and cozy in his ranch, when people are dying. He doesn't give a crap. All of the money wasted, lives wasted. He has the nerve to say,"Support our troops" But you know what we are supporting them. Its our money that we work so hard for. And when they come back they are mentally screwed up, or maybe a cold hearted person with no soul when you kill a person that is breathing. I am so pissed off.
