Both Cindy and John PLEDGED to run a campaign without smears ... but THEY LIED : McCain might loss the election. His place as the slimiest candidate in the last 20 years is safe. That will be his legacy. Polls open vote early and take along a friend.

Here's a GREAT way to support Senator Obama while he visits his grandmother.....

PLEASE start posting on at least 3 blogs, per day reminders to VOTE EARLY and

ABSENTEE VOTE. Refer them to Senator Obama's website for their states

guidelines regarding VOTE EARLY/ABSENTEE VOTE in their state. This is one of

the best ways we can support Senator Obama THIS WEEK by maintaining his momentum.

If we hit big numbers THIS WEEK it will keep him in the news in a POSITIVE WAY.

Let's knock these EARLY/ABSENTEE VOTES out the park this week.

As the saying goes, let's give them something to talk about.

When does the hate and prejudice with McCain/Palin stop? By letting their "true colors" shine through now that push has come to shove, I hope Americans are realizing they are a bad choice. Thanks, Blue, and love the picture!!

McCain and Palin know that revving up the anger/resentment of their "low informatino voter" base will result in violence and the necessity for police action, which is what they're planning.

Know When To Fold 'Em

Sometimes you have the cards, and sometimes you don't. It doesn't seem to be in the cards for John McCain this cycle, confirmed by today's news that there will be no magical 527 ads to save him:

Many in the party, including inside the McCain campaign, have held out hope that a deep-pocketed benefactor would emerge to bankroll ads in the campaignís final days ó spots that might, for example, resurrect the most incendiary clips from the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

But thanks largely to lack of passion for McCain within the conservative base, diminished hopes that he can win and a sharp decline in the stock market that has badly pinched donorsí pockets, veteran Republican operatives say it appears almost certain that what could be the most damaging line of attack against the Democratic nominee will be left on the shelf.

"Itís Oct. 21, and if you canít say it by Oct. 21, then chances are youíre not going to say anything," said Chris LaCivita, the strategist behind the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth in 2004.

Indeed, it's the Bush economic policies that John McCain supported which have led his campaign to this precipice:

For most of the donor pool for a robust third-party effort, this cycle appears to have come down to dollars and cents. Many, like Las Vegas casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, saw their portfolios slide, reducing their interest greatly in practicing their political hobby on the side.

Adelson had been counted on as the chief benefactor of Freedomís Watch, a group originally billed as the right-wing equivalent of MoveOn.org.

But sources say Adelson has pulled the plug on the group, and that it will only wind up spending $25 million to $30 million this cycle ó a far cry from their original vision.

Freedomís Watch had to greatly scale back its ambitions, never aired a single ad in the presidential race and has an uncertain future after the election.

I'm certain about its future: there won't be one. Duh.

End of the day, the message McCain is receiving from his financial base is the same one he should have listened to at the casino: "Republican donors, at the end of day, arenít stupid," said another Republican familiar with third-party activities this cycle. "Theyíre not going to throw good money after bad."

Or, to go Sorkin, John McCain doesn't have a full house in his hand to play -- in the game of electoral poker, he doesn't have a house of any sort, not even a pup tent. He's got at best trip sevens, while Obama's holding a straight, and none of his friends wants to lend McCain another chip for a hand he can't win.

What a good Christian Sarah Palin is! She uses the word God quite abit but I don't think she is talking about my God! She spreads hate in her rallies against Obama, she is a hypocrite & so is McCain. They seem to forget about the Keating 5, his ties with Mafia friends, his not backing the GI Bill, against finding the MIAS in Vietnam ,( wonder what he is trying to hide}by having his Military File sealed, his 32 propaganda films while he was a POW, he wasn't called the " Songbird " for nothing. I consider him a Traitor & he should have been charged with Treason, I think he got away with it because of his grandfather & father, he did not receive a promotion while he was a POW which many did while POWS because he gave away confidential information to his captors, he is no hero but a coward hiding behind his grandfather & father. He didn't take early release from the POW camp because he was ashamed to face his father because his father knew that he was a traitor. McCain & Palin are evil people! Just go to www.vietnamvetsagainstmccain.

Blue...I saw that mailer and was SHOCKED!! Why isn't the McCain camp prosecuted for defamation of character and pulling an illegal campaign based on lies?

This should be address and somebody needs to go to jail behind it.

Why, Marion? Because RepubliCON$ like McCain and Bu$h have elevated lying to an art form and their "low information voter" base would even die to protect those liars.

Remember this: "And for God's sake, stop labeling yourself and others as "liberals" or "conservatives." Those labels are meaningless. There's only the super-rich and the rest of us. There's only predators and prey."

AP: ATF says it has disrupted skinhead plot to assassinate Obama, kill 102 black people.

Late Update: Subsequent reporting
on this story suggests that the part of this plot that involved killing
Obama was much more aspirational than anything they'd worked out a
clear plan to accomplish. But they had worked out a plan to raid a
predominantly African-American high school and kill 100 kids.
