Electronic waste contains 40-50 times the amount of gold in ore mined from the ground, according to a report last week by the Global e-Sustainability Initiative and the United Nations University.

Thanks Shaheen for posting the article. Read and noted. As the article states "Just one more reason to recycle your electronics responsibly." and I used the link provided there to find a E-waste recycling drop off point just 15 miles from where I live.

Remember to consider the transport costs of recycling your e-waste. Of course recycling is fantastic if you have an e-waste drop-off point nearby, but if you don't, think about disposal before you buy your next consumer electronic appliance: do you really need it?
