I love everything that I eat and there is so much wonderful tasty and healthy foods that vegans can eat. There is also the non-vegetarians out there that think that all a vegan eats is vegetables or lettuce. I am amazed at the assumptions others make when they find out I am a vegan. Also, sometimes people talk about the plants screaming and the suffering they go through.

I went vegetarian in 1967 and vegan later. Since I'm so old, nobody regards it as "cute", instead some people just think I'm nuts.

Really no matter how old a person is most people (even those close to you) think that vegans are nuts. It is really a shame how society conditions people at young ages to think that killing other sentient beings for profit is the right thing. No wonder we have so many problems with vilonence.

Congratulations for standing by your beliefs - and don't worry other vegans and vegetarians do not think you are nuts. We think you are an angel for all the lives you have saved and for not contributing to the current sad state of the world and it's environment.
