I love this statement by Thom Hartmann: "We saw the effects of Citizens United in the 2010 midterms when over $300 million in secret, corporate cashed was dumped into our elections – that’s more than 4 times more money than was spent in the last midterm in 2006 – and is why a wave of millionaire corporate shills saying they represent the Tea Party were elected to the House of Representatives. If we don’t do something about this – 2012 will be even worse. So get out there, get active, and occupy the courts!"

We all know how much damage the Tea Party candidates who were elected in 2010 have done to this country, and the money spent on their campaigns, courtesy of the Citizens United ruling, is what got them into office. In addition to giving the House of Representatives a GOP majority, 2010 brought us Scott Walker, Rick Scott, John Kasich and several other Tea Party governors whose agendas included breaking up public sector unions, taking collective bargaining rights away from unions, cutting Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid, refusing to vote in favor of raising the debt ceiling --which resulted in the first-time ever lowering of our country's S&P credit rating, etc. They've caused too much damage to the economy and morale of this country and have proven that they're NOT "the best that money can buy"!

Excellent digest of the news - thanks Miss Kitty and Lynn. Very glad Elizabeth Warren raised $1,000,000 so quickly - hope she raises more.

Really sad that we can't feed the hungry or give citizens health care but we can come up with tons of campaign money - just so we can elect more politicians and judges who can take away more of our rights.

Looks like justice is slowly creeping up on the Bush administration (and possibly Obama, too).

Glad to here about Elizabeth Warren's fundraising success. Scott Brown might as well not even waste any money campaigning, methinks.

Our SCOUS has become a laughing stock, and they are so biased in their OWN favor, they believe they are indestructable.
I won't pretend to be a constitutional scholar, but, surely, there is some way to stop these 'extremists', from destroying our country.
They, obviously, DO want to rule our country through a plutocracy.

yes - they are censoring our internet anyway - without PIPA or SOAP but something Obama signed or did that allows an cooperation to remove/shut down a site if they feel the copyright issues have been broached. Freedom of speech - where ?????
