Tea party-aligned FreedomWorks for America has launched campaigns against several Republicans whom it deems too moderate, including Senate veterans Orrin Hatch and Richard Lugar. But some of the group's claims miss the mark.

The Tea Party folks are the ones in the Twilight Zone. Their brains have been invaded by a bacterial infection called the Kochbros. Luckily there is an antidote known as commen sense. Let's just hope it prevails.

Hatch and Lugar!!! Maybe because they at least are capable of using and understanding words of more than 2 syllables?

BTW, speaking of Tea Party, you do know why the Mad Hatter was mad, right?

So, what do contemporary Tea Partiers sniff?

I have read that both the influence of cocaine or the use of mercury in making hats was symbolized by the Mad Hatter. Those were the days of the 7% solution for many artists and it was acceptable. From Conan Doyle, to JRR Tolkien and all those in between cocaine was the fun way of artistic expression.

I am wondering if I am in the twilight zone myself. My mouth actually flops open some of the stuff, I am hearing and seeing. I go off the ledge and question myself if-- aliens have really taken over the planet.
The tea party/republican party, I have to remind myself is a combination of all those groups who have banded together, putting their differences aside to take over this goverment and change this country by destroying the government we have and replace it with a small figurehead with it's religious component. I think they have already planned how it is going to go and on what schedule.
Of course we have already talked about this. Now we see it in the trying to be made state.
It is painful for people like us to watch and take. Only because we have a do right and fair minds and hearts.
I am suspect about everything. Too many fires. Too much death. Many people resorting to crimes for money.
I am worried for all of us. Children are more vulnerable than ever. I could say more. I won't.
But something is very wrong in our country. There are very good people in america. I thank GOD for them. They sterp in by the millions and make wrongs right and be the answer to correct a wrong and comfort those wronged. They make use of themselves to be proactive to human needs. I am not complaining about them. It's just----you know the evil that visits us.
We will just all keep doing what we do in our sections to take the sting out of life as much as we can. Myself included. Have a great day.

Noted, thanks, Kit. I can only hope these rabid frauds have a tendency to eat their young as well as each other.

It's more of the same misinformation that are feed to voters 24/7. No wonder people are clueless and mad at all the wrong people for all the wrong reasons.

Ah, people are still paying attention to the Tea Party, even after the candidates they got into office tended to be pretty disliked by the general public. How quaint.

Thanks for the article, Kit. Basically, I guess this is just the proof that Corporate America is funding divisiveness to hasten their "takeover" of Congress and America. My spouse has relatives in the South who are finding themselves somewhat confused over all of this. The major point they have in common is their hatred of Obama...and it's not just because he's a Dem. If only we could get a real "platform" that Dems in Congress would follow and vote by. Too many Corporatist Dems now vote with Repukes. It's past time for us to push our country toward a "hard left turn" to counter all the sharp right turns that have been taken in the past couple decades.

The TEAparty is nothing more than an apologist group for the Kochite Republicans and since most are in the 99%, they are "shooting themselves in the foot" backing the Kochites.

Good article but we so desparately need to knock off the Red and Blue hatred. If this country can't find middle ground "purple" representatives for the next Congress we may be doomed.

Why don't they just run the cowardly Kochs for president and vice president? They are buying their way in anyway.

Frack the Tea Party!
Orrin Hatch is the devil incarnate.
If the devil is too wimpy for them, imagine the Hell they have planned for the rest of us.

WOW! John Cause, your comment is amazing!! May I borrow it and use it in other comments? I promise to credit you. btw, there is a tea party republican plant in Illinois RUNNING AS A DEMOCRAT IN THE PRIMARY! His name is Brad Schneider, and just a day or so ago the airwaves were flooded with false ads showing pictures of Obama TO FOOL PEOPLE into thinking the President endorses him. WRONG. NOT TRUE. The President wants a TRUE PROGRESSIVE in Congress and that's ILYA SHEYMAN. Let's Vote for SHEYMAN to do good for the 99% of us! Thanks.

The Teabaggers remind me of a black cat, Simba, my stepmother had years and years ago --- she kept getting pregnant and she ate all her young from every litter. And this is the kind of people that some Americans think would best represent them? If the Tea Party suceeds in gutting the right so that there are only ultra conservatives and everyone else, I fear there will be many 'skeletons' in many closets and there will not be an America recognisable to the average Joe, left or right.
