Apparently a lot about money. I still have no idea what she is talking about (not written by her father or teacher was it? he asked cynically...).

I do know that before money there was the bartering system. Then came 'money'. And money was alright up to the point as long as a fair exchange of goods and services for 'money' took place (but then are humans always fair?). Then someone introduced the idea of 'interest'', which by nature profits off of how badly someone else needs money. The more someone needs money the higher the interest you can charge and they can't do a damn thing about it. And if you somehow control how much money the other person has so they they have little, then you can raise the interest, and voila control the whole shebang and profit at the same time. Brilliant! Greedy! But how long have humans been profiting off the weaknesses of their fellows and having slaves. A long time.

"Let's see. The government can borrow money that ultimately comes from private banks, which admittedly create it out of thin air and soak the taxpayers for a whopping interest bill; or it can borrow from its own bank, which also creates the money out of thin air and avoid the interest. Even a 12-year-old can see how this argument is going to come out."

Okay. Well, beyond the question of how a 12 year old came up with all that, can we borrow her and have her tweak her speech for our Congress? I've often spoken of the banking system as the modern day equivalent of the money lenders Christ threw out of the temple, but I would have had to dig to find out the story is in Matthew 21, lol. THAT is one little girl with a BIG future. But the birther's would be after her here. Which is not to say we can't learn from what she has to say. Nothing she said about Canada's system does not also apply to our own. And it IS the 1% who own the banks who are constantly manipulating their puppets as well as our monetary system, in 2008 their greed nearly bringing down the house of cards upon which their wealth is built. And countless, it seems, times in the last 18 months their puppets in Congress have nearly accomplished the same thing with their railing on about the debt ceiling. She's right, it IS that simple. I would venture the reason this has escaped notice here is that so many of those who control the media and the monetary system, and thus our economy, have too much to lose were we to do as she suggests. So? Let's do it anyway. I hope many of you, as have I, will forward that link to the White House. :^)

I sent this posting to the White House and members of both Houses. I know I will get a standard reply...thank you for contacting me...blah, blah, etc...

If we did nothing but dump the FED we would be so much better off. It would take a few minutes of reading for people to understand that the FED is NOT owned or operated by the government, we just pay the interest with our taxes, mean while the BIG Banks have an endless ATM at their disposal. Sure, that's simplistic, but I've submitted so many stories and articles (as have others) about the FED that if one wants to know the facts they most certainly can.
