Actually, we could have gotten rid of AIDS years ago, all it'd have taken would have been responsible behavior, no cure needed, as the HIV is a (comperatively) very weak Virus, easily killed, with a very narrow, well-defined, long-exactly-known transmission vector.
However, how many (million) infected now ? Tells us a lot about how "responsible" and "reasonable" humans are.

Oh, it's only " As of 2010 approximately 34 million people [who] have HIV globally " -- Well done. Congratulations. Guess what will happen when we have to deal with any serious virus that spread, say, like the common cold...

We Can't End AIDS Until We End the Drug War

The end of AIDS is not just possible -- but predictably achievable -- if we end the war on drugs.

Hey, ke. I, I see you're back with more of that toxic Chinese crap. How many credit card numbers have you stolen so far? Haven't these people caught on to your scam yet?

"A friendship founded on business is better than business founded on friendship. Thanks!"

Oh, I're reaching out from China for new friends! Doesn't quite seem right that you would poison those friends, sell them boots and shoes made from dog and cat skins and steal their credit card numbers in doing so? What's the matter, you can't find any 'friends' in your own population of 1.5 billion?.

Thanks Kit for the post.

As far as what you said about the spammers, I agree. They think they can play this futile game of name scrabble in the hopes there'll be a virtual stampede to buy their products but they better think again. When all is said and done, they are spammers and an undesirable element that is unwelcomed here.
