According to the Huffington Post:

"Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas and Fox News host, has had enough of what he called the 'vicious hate speech and intolerant bigotry' aimed at Chick-fil-A.

On his Facebook page, Huckabee announced that Aug. 1 will be 'Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,' a day on which he is encouraging people to patronize the fast food chain."

So, according to Huckabee, the vicious hate speech and bigotry is aimed against Chick-fill-A, and not homosexuals. And how nice of him to stir up all the homophobes to buy a lot of chicken in a show of support for Chick-fil-A's policy of hatred and exclusion.

I've always loved the way TomCat puts tinfoil hats on politicians of questionable intelligence. I'm wondering if he'd be able to fashion one for Huckabee using an empty KFC bucket --lined with tin foil, of course!

i just don't feel like even hearing about chickens in sandwiches ever again. . .the whole thing is disgusting and just makes me feel really ill. And i know Jesus and John the Baptist would boycott these chickens in sandwiches outfits and tell all their friends not to go near them. And they would probably all throw up just thinking about it. . .once they were safely back out in the wilderness.

Thx so much Kit! Gave me a great laugh. Never been to Chickie Land and I know I'm never going now. I happen to be a Christian too but I do NOT judge people. I have some best friends who are gay. Who cares? We're friends. Their sexuality doesn't mean a hill of beans to me. I'm married. So what? Do they care? NOBODY has the right to judge anyone!

Your Jesus said in the NEW testament , "I Give You a NEW commandment, to LOVE ONE ANOTHER" The Jesus character NEVER condemned Gays. Actually there is no historical mention of Jesus. He was based on older mythical characters. Just like the Virgin birth. The entire bible is certainly not to be taken literally. It's all myth. Funny that jo M only noticed that Scarlett's comment was missing and then assumed it was some bigot that caused the problem.

It's a problem at Care2 and other comments were accidentally removed from many sites. No one cares what Scarlett has to say, other than the humor it provides for others. You and Scarlett are nothing but a bad joke to many here who actually do care about many things beyond ourselves.

More GOOD NEWS is, that OTHER BIGOTED BUSINESSES are ALSO DOING POORLY. And, businesses which SUPPORT LGBT Rights, those which are "boycotted" by Million Moms for example, are DOING WELL! You KNOW that the Money lies with LGBT people, their friends and families and neighbors and many, many Allies!!!

One reason that Sick-fil-A is GOING DOWN, is that
STUDENTS on College Campuses all over the country, have initiated PETITIONS demanding that CfA Franchises be terminated on their Campuses and in their Student Union Buildings; or not allowed to start there in the first place.
Students even in HIGH SCHOOLS have Petitions demanding the closure of CfA Franchises in their High Schools! {Sick-fil-A is in HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIAS???!!!!!}
Students also have Petitions demanding that CfA be not allowed at, or sponsoring, Sports Events.

These are Petitions ANYone can sign -- you don't have to be a Student, or in that City or State.
There are also Petitions against CfA being in Shopping Malls, and other venues.
I don't know how many Petitions remain up -- but I myself have signed, I believe, over 60! of them!

Please go to change.org; then go to Gay Rights. Then "turn some pages" under Recent or Popular.

Sick-fil-A is an Atlanta-based Franchise that was hoping to expand into other venues!
GREAT TIMING, I'd say!

Quite a number of these Petitions, come from STUDENTS, who of course have LGBT members on their College and High School campuses,
and OBJECT STRONGLY to CfA being there making MONEY off of the students! {Not to mention the BAD NUTRITION! fats and additives!}
