If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine.... At last we know what a Femi-nazi looks like!

Earlier this week, Ann Coulter told The New York Observer that she believes women shouldn’t have the right to vote:

If we took away women’s right to vote, we’d never have to worry about another Democrat president. It’s kind of a pipe dream, it’s a personal fantasy of mine, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women.

It also makes the point, it is kind of embarrassing, the Democratic Party ought to be hanging its head in shame, that it has so much difficulty getting men to vote for it. I mean, you do see it’s the party of women and “We’ll pay for health care and tuition and day care — and here, what else can we give you, soccer moms?”

Sigh. Where to begin?

If we were to subscribe to Ms. Coulter’s theory — that single women be left out of the political process — and further assume that given the leading GOP presidential candidates decision to skip Hispanic and African American forums, those Americans be left out as well, we could very well believe that conservatives want the elections decided by married white men.

Let’s hope that’s not true.

The fact is that anyone seeking elected office ignores unmarried Americans at their peril. With each passing year, America is becoming more unmarried. One in four voters is a single woman. It is the marriage gap — not the gender gap or income gap — that will decide the 2008 election.

Fifty percent of all households are now headed by an unmarried person; single women comprise most of them. And whatever predispositions anyone had about who single Americans, they are not what they used to be. They are separated, divorced, widowed and now make up the majority of women. 50 million total.

And while a clear majority of unmarrieds are white, they are considerably more racially diverse than married adults. More than a quarter of unmarried Americans are Latino or African-American. These 50 million Americans — who are more likely not to have health care, are economically stressed, and are solely responsible for their child’s care — have more at stake in this election than their married counterparts.

Ms. Coulter may be a provocateur but a political strategist she is not.

There are so many words to describe Ann Coulter, I just can't think of many that are not in adult expressive language. Though I had wondered what the Rush Limbaugh "Feminazi" would look like and now I know. If you don't like the political party in power because that person was and is duly elected by a majority of the citizens then take away their right to vote. Simple and that is what some states are doing. Here is one word to describe my feelings about this statement by Coulter - despicable.

Maybe conservatices want elections decided by married white "rich" men. When I was young I heard that Americans envy British (English?) as they have "royal" family and old traditions. Is it true after all? No elections needed or wanted??

Kit B. (276)
Tuesday August 28, 2012, 7:42 pm

That Naoko, would seem to be true in this election cycle. Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kansas, Tennessee and Georgia, Michigan, South Dakota, Idaho, Louisiana, Hawaii and South Carolina, so far have made it very difficult for people to vote. Many are requiring a new photo ID law, sounds like no big deal. If you were born at home, have no birth certificate and have never had driver's license then it is a really big deal. This will affect as many as 10% of voters - most that could be considered democrats. Though in reality one never knows how a person of color nor a white person will vote. Voting for a president becomes a very personal issue.

Hmmmm as many as 10% of voters (potential voters?) have no IDs...Are you talking about America? mighty super power the world's police state? Sounds like some "backward" Asian countries...

Coulter wouldn't mind, I think she's had worst sex-change ever!;) That's a birth certificate I'd like to see!
I guess she aspires to be the New Ayn Rand...:(

Thousands of women braved public scorn, incarceration, forced feeding and other punishments....just so women could get the vote!

Our foremothers fought, suffered and struggled so SHE could SPIT on the process?

Hell must be frozen over.....that's all I can say.

Police State? Yep that is rapidly becoming an apt description.

No, Yvonne though Ayn Rand was not the brightest bulb in the box she was at least of normal intellect, that can not be said about this foaming at the mouth, rabid, idiot.

Indeed Pam, the fight seems never ending and fools like this actually lack the ability to know when to shut-up. She thinks something and out of her stupid mouth it comes. In child we accept that, in an adult it is not acceptable nor even humorous. Coulter has mean streak and is a woman hater, this is not the first time nor will it be the last of her statements on Sux News. She actually thinks she is an intellect, and doesn't realize that she is mockery of herself.

Thanks, Kit! Ann Coulter has been the cause of considerable disappointment for me. I've always tried to support women in positions of prominence and leadership.....but.....

This one is NEVER positive....she's NEVER said anything intelligent and she almost SEEMS to be some kind of shill for people who are USING her to make women look inept.

It is a personal taboo that i have put in place to never listen to nor even look at this creature nor others like it. . .and i can not allow myself to place the word thank-you in even a very remote proximity to it's name. [Principles and precautions in case the disease is communicable by visual and/or audio frequencies and wavelengths. Also concerned about possible severe trauma to the psyche on impact!] So Kit, i will just say i appreciate your steadfast efforts in tracking it's activities and reporting on them for us. . .please where your full HAZMAT gear at all times when doing so. Of course many quotes come to mind. . .

"You ruinious butt, you whoreson indistinguishable cur..." ―William Shakespeare

"Heaven truly knows that thou are as false as hell." ―William Shakespeare

“There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action." ― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“The fact that millions of people share the same vices does not make these vices virtues, the fact that they share so many errors does not make the errors to be truths, and the fact that millions of people share the same form of mental pathology does not make these people sane.” ― Erich Fromm

"Anyway, no drug, not even alcohol, causes the fundamental ills of society. If we're looking for the source of our troubles, we shouldn't test people for drugs, we should test them for stupidity, ignorance, greed and love of power." ―P.J. O'Rourke

“I think we risk becoming the best informed society that has ever died of ignorance.” ― Reuben Blades

I'd love to see Hillary and Madeleine Albright rattle this "woman." Everything she spews is filled with hatred for all women, especially single mothers. As a single mother who has struggled but proudly raised a wonderful son I am personally offended by everything she says. The women before us fought a hard fight to get us the right to vote and hell will freeze over before I give up mine.

Nothing that comes out of that heartless stick-woman's mouth surprises me. Remember when she had these words to say about the widows created by 9/11? "These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much."

No wonder she's not being seen in public as much as she used to be. Too many hecklers, too many cream pies waiting to be tossed, too many people accusing her of having a penis. She can dish it out, but she certainly can't take it!

"If we took away women’s right to vote, we’d never have to worry about another Democrat president. It’s kind of a pipe dream, it’s a personal fantasy of mine, but I don’t think it’s going to happen."

Not this election cycle, but I don't doubt that repealing suffrage is on the long term agenda. Ann Coulter is a harpy who is a Republican not because of her "belief" system, that changes day to day and sometimes in the same article, she's there because that is the only place this attention-junkie can get any at all, the boys love her and that is all she cares about, a pandering fool if ever there was one. She'd take womens rights away completely (not realizing apparently that this would also take away her stage, her platform, though I'm sure she'd still get adoring looks from her neo-con bff's. All of whom are male.), sell out herself and all women, just to keep the boys smiling at her. She makes me sick. She IS sick. That said, I don't doubt that if the christian Taliban does take control for any extended period of time, that they will indeed begin further whittling away at women and minority rights, just like their soul mates in the Sharia ruled countries. After all, men know stuff, like how to destroy towns, industries, nations and the planet, while women care about the soft things that aren't important, like people, human rights, and people. It is time for a change in leadership. Men have done nothing but invent increasingly clever ways to kill each other over nothings in the time since we came down from the trees. We've run things long enough, it is time someone else, someone with a heart and soul, take the reins of power and that does not describe most men. What we need, and what we will SEE over this millennium is a shift in power, it won't happen overnight, but it is coming. And it begins now, we are seeing the last gasp of male dominated rule, which has meant ruin for so many. Things must change, and they will, just not in the way Ann envisions. The faster the better as far as I am concerned.

Ann Coulter considers Joe McCarthy to be an American hero and that the eponymous anti-communist witch hunt and the most severe period of cultural and artistic censorship in American history to be a victim of liberal persecution. If you can find every single problem with American society and put them into one person, it's her. The only creative thing that can be done with her is to find out what her name is an anagram of I have got Unclean Rot, Rectal Noun, Ultra Nonce, Cannot Rule No True Clan, Acorn El Nut and a few others which would be far too rude to print.

Thanks Kit for placing this on here, I was trying to find an up to date article that had her saying this but they all brought me back to 2007. However, I doubt very much in those few years she has changed her position on things.

What can I say about this woman(?) that hasn't already been said. I had written back to Robert T. behind the scenes when he sent her comment that I'm wondering if she is a woman at all, perhaps a man dressed in drag or had sex change.

Does she not realize that when women loose the right to vote so does she? That because of the rights of women it has allowed her to go on the airways and speak, whether we like what she has to say or not is another issue, she has made her living off of the fact that she had choices, and it started with the right of women to vote.

But she is speaking what so many of the men are speaking in the Republican Party; a Party that to me has gone and destroyed itself, for it isn't anything what the Republican Party use to be. Unfortunately with destroying itself it is trying to take down the rest of this Country and the people in it. I just hope there are enough women that are not brainwashed and brain dead that will not place their name next to this heartless Party.

Besides cold hearted another word comes to mind to describe her, and that is Pathetic.

I was wondering when the Republican Party would get around to that. It's not just Ann Coulter wishing for this; Michele Bachmann had already stated this either last year or the year before that.

But with the current agenda of the Republican Party, it is only a matter of time until Congress will be asked to throw out the 19th amendment. And once that has been done, the 14th Amendment will be the next target. Then they will redefine citizenship. And lastly, the right to vote will be tied to the ownership of property.

I just thank the Lord that I have dual citizenship and can always go back to the Fatherland!

More proof that Ann Coulter is an imbecile. She wants to disenfranchise women, including herself. Basically she is saying that, at least by proxy, SHE, is also too stupid to vote and therefore her opinion has no value.

Ann Coulter is believe it or not, deserving of compassion -- she hates HERSELF more than any of us could possibly hate her, and it shows in everything she does and says. She hates HERSELF, because in truth she looks on herself as a monster, and her religion teaches her that she cannot love herself.
Ann Coulter, altho we are using the pronoun "she" as she prefers, is actually a EUNUCH -- that is, a man without a penis. You can tell this very easily by her body proportions, facial features, the way she moves especially, and of course her prominent adam's apple. If you imagined her in pants and with her long blonde hair [hair extensions] cut short, say a buzz cut, it would be even more obvious. She has no uterus or ovaries; has never menstruated and of course is sterile.
Ann Coulter, if you read biographical information, was born to a very religious family. One of "god's" little jokes! She was [I deduce] born Intersex; that is, without clear external genitals of either sex. Doctors at that time, assumed the mantle of gods, to decide, then, which sex to "make" the baby into. If there wasn't a "large enough" penis, then of course they "made" the baby into a girl! Presto change-o! By cutting off any part of a penis that remained, and creating a surgical vagina!
There is by now a considerable psychological literature on the terrible DAMAGE this inflicted on babies as they grew up... Now, the small percentage of children born Intersex are DEMANDING THE RIGHT TO DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES, which Sex they feel they are!
One book I can refer you to, is "As Nature Made Him; the boy who was raised as a girl" by John Colapinto -- it is autobiographical, a truly tragic story as he later committed suicide. But it is NOT UN-TYPICAL of Intersex children of that generation!!!
I feel truly sorry for Ann Coulter, I am not lying. With her family background and religious upbringing, well, let me just say I would not like to be in her shoes for all the money in the world! She HAS to hate herself, NEVER being able to just accept herself as the penisless Man she is -- she must feel really uncomfortable inside her own body! John Colapinto, the tragic author of the book, was raised as a girl but was, in fact, a baby BOY without a penis [lost in a terrible accident] -- that did NOT make him a girl! His parents were told by the doctor and psychologists at the time, to always tell him he was a GIRL... but, he knew there was something wrong! Ann Coulter has to have learned at some point in her life...
So she practically has no choice, but to hate herself, hate all women, all humans, her family and her god {tho she can't afford to admit the latter...}.
[Ann Coulter is not a "mannish" woman, or any sort of a woman at all. She is not a "drag queen" either -- because drag queens ENJOY being what they are, and "dressing up". Ann is a man desperately trying to "pass" as what she can never be... or even resemble...and perhaps trying to fool HERSELF, as well as us...]

Ann Coulter comes from a religious family and claims to be religious herself -- and these Patriarchal religions are very, very severe about Sexual Dichotomy -- women can't dress like men, and vice versa; these religions even mess with the minds of "normal, average" people, and if you're "deviant", well... {The term "deviant" is NOT one I would use; it is the kind of term that fundamentalist religious people would use. It must be a nightmare echoing in Ann's mind.}

It is possible that Ann Coulter externalizes her extreme self-hatred by acting so as to make OTHERS hate her...

Women's pelvises are different from men's {for childbearing}; when Ann walks, as I have seen her on TV, it is obvious she has a man's pelvis and her legs are attached like a man's, she walks like a man...
Actually drag queens are MORE feminine than Ann is, drag queens are ACTORS who LEARN to walk the way women walk. Ann is not "imitating" or trying to imitate a woman's walk -- she is walking the way it is natural for her to walk, so she "naturally" walks, sits, etc. the way a man walks and moves.

I always refer to people by the PRONOUN THEY PREFER, whether they are male, female, intersex, drag queens, transsexual, or whatever.... So as to Ann Coulter, I am being perfectly consistent when I say "she is a man".

Ann Coulter is not a "transsexual" either -- not "psychologically a woman in a man's biological body" or a "man in a woman's biological body".
Ann's "sex" as being female, was a CHOICE SHE NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO MAKE. Who knows what sex and gender expression she might have chosen for herself? By the time she found out the truth, if she ever did, she must have felt it was socially impossible to change...

So she comes across as a weird hybrid, a what-is-it, something unnatural -- and must feel that way, even and especially to herself! That would be the worst...

Just think, she could never marry and exemplify "family values" -- and when she "dates" a man, as her SOCIAL role requires, it is actually a -- gasp! -- Homosexual relationship! How will she age, and maybe look even less "feminine" than the "sexy" look she tries to use now for camouflage...
So her life is being cynical, smart-alecky, and HURTING PEOPLE.... a kind of "revenge", as I see it...

Ann Coulter is a nobody. I consider her and her opinions to be irrelivent and she is beginning to look like the bride of Frankinstein. It won't be long before Fox news considers her to be too ugly for their broadcasts. Did you eve notice there is no female anchor on Fox that doesn't look like a "Barbie" doll?

what's even more frightening about Ann Coulter is that people actually listen to her thanks kit the more light on the darkness and evil one's the better to make a decision

I wrote this comment on one of Dandelion's posts, but think it's most appropriate here:

MO, Ann Coulter is a certifiable lunatic. Her views are archaic. She was born a few centuries too late. She is a woman who hates herself; if she had respect for herself, she'd have respect for other women, which is not the case. It's difficult to truly empathize with someone so psychologically immature because her vitriol turns most of us off. And she has taken the lesson of the right wing nutcases and turns any sense of sympathy against the sympathizer... calling them weak and "like women" (whom she hates). A true Rove student, she is. In my opinion ignoring her is the best action I can take.

What an idiot. Has she not heard that it was the Suffragettes that won the RIGHT FOR WOMEN TO HAVE A VOTE - it was a hard fought battle - and in the UK - in 1918 only women over 30 got to vote but by 1928 they got equal voting rights with men. In America - women got the right to vote in 1920 in national elections, under the 19th Amendment. Now this dumb blonde wants to eliminate women's vote and move them back to being mere chattels - having children, tied to the kitchen sink and slaves to men.... I DON'T THINK SO! Thanks Kit.

I believe, truly believe, that Ann Coulter is so permanently stressed-out because of her "sexual identity" problems, probably unacknowledged and deeply buried in the ol' subconscious, -- so much so, that she is as close as you can get to psychotic, and still function from day-to-day.
I don't think ANYTHING she says needs to be taken seriously.
I think it is sortof tragically funny, that her followers, if they realized "what" she was, would turn against her -- which is probably something Ann Coulter secretly fears. So she has to put up this vast smokescreen of making OTHERS feel miserable by attacking them...
Ann Coulter is best IGNORED. Again, NOTHING she says, needs to be taken seriously. It doesn't need to be "argued against". It is just a manifestation of her psychosis. And the UNREALITY of the world she is FORCED to live in, because of her religious beliefs about her "uncomfortable, not fitting" body...

First time I have heard a MAN, which Ann Coulter IS, called a "dumb blonde" -- but that is not nice, it is still sexist and even sortof racist. Just call her "dumb", period. They come in all genders and hair colors.

"Volumes can and have been written about the issue of freedom versus dictatorship, but, in essence, it comes down to a single question: do you consider it moral to treat men (and women) as sacrificial animals and to rule them by physical force? If as a citizen of the (once?) freest country in the world, you do not know what this would actually mean-We the Living (by Ayn Rand*) will help you to know." *Not wise to decry Ayn Rand's work, especially as what she has written about is either true (or about to become true).

Aster C, you certainly seem to have a skewed view of what Rand says in her reactionary diatribe against the USSR. Ayn was an atheist who advocated not just the separation of Church and State but the destruction of all Churches. She was feminist to the point of opposing nearly anything that infringed upon a woman's rights. Her socio-political-economic views take the Adam Smith "Wealth of Nations" converting of greed from sin to moral imperative to a Darwinian survival of the fittest based on Capitalist success to create a World Wide Plutocracy where those with the most money CONTROL everyone and everything. Ayn Rand advocated individualism without morals or ethics, she advocated success at accumulating wealth as the sole measure for a person's claim to rights and power. And I must ask you, "Do you consider it moral/ethical to treat all those people with less wealth or no wealth as nothing but a workforce commodity to use as you see fit?" Because Ayn Rand sure as hell did.

But to the actual point, what is it about Repug/Tea Bagged women that makes them so self-endangering. Are they to stupid or intentionally ignorant as to fail to realize that what they espouse strips them of human and civil rights. I have never understood the Repug/Tea Bagged women or at least their hell bent determination to make themselves and the 51+% of the population chattel.

Is Ann Coulter out of her freakin' skull? She is the equivalent of an African-American calling for a return to the Jim Crow system. She is a traitor to half the people in this country. She is so full of s--- that I could smell her if I was two kilometers upwind and had a bad head cold.

I want two impossible things--the removal of Coulter's Y chromosome so we don't have to include her in our gender.
And transport her back to 1900, or 1800, or further--where women had no vote, no rights, no chance.
She shames us all when she opens her mouth. The women in Iran, Egypt. Syria, Pakistan and more, are risking, and often losing, their lives to try to gain those rights for their daughters and sisters. And she obviously has no clue what our ancestors did to gain those rights for us.

Ruadha:
Ann Coulter HAS no Y chromosome; no uterus or ovaries, and her vagina is SURGICALLY PRODUCED.

Ann Coulter's adam's apple, among many other things, shows that she is a MAN;
properly, a EUNUCH; that is, a man without a penis.
Possibly when this baby boy was born he did not have a penis showing, or not much of one. We call such people INTERSEX. It is rare, but it does happen.
Babies born INTERSEX, have not much in the way of external genitals showing, and so it is often confusing to the people around after the baby is born -- doctors, nurses, parents...

It used to be, that doctors, going on the theory that "the penis makes the man" {and NOT the chromosomes!}, ARBITRARILY ASSIGNED such babies the FEMALE sex, removing any rudimentary male organs they had, giving them hormone treatments, etc., to enhance their "femaleness".
This has proved EXTREMELY DESTRUCTIVE to the minds and personalities of these Intersex babies as they grew up!
Now these Intersex babies, grown up, are often SUING the doctors....

Ann Coulter, we KNOW this from statements she has made, grew up in a VERY RELIGIOUS FAMILY.
Given the WARPED RELIGIOUS ATTITUDES TOWARDS SEX AND GENDER, one can ONLY IMAGINE the HORROR of being an INTERSEX CHILD in a family like that.....!!!!!
For me, THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING ABOUT ANN COULTER.
Ann Coulter was born INTERSEX; that is, without much in the way of external genitals.
Nevertheless, Ann Coulter was BORN A MALE.
And raised as a Female in a very religious family, who no doubt believed the doctors of the time that told them this was the best thing for the child.....
AND TO NEVER TELL HER THE TRUTH ABOUT WHO SHE IS.....!!!!!

The ONLY THING FEMALE about Ann Coulter is her "sexy" black dresses, her "sexy" long blonde hair, and her name.... imagine her without these, and you EASILY see a MALE person....

Ann Coulter at least, serves {without wanting to!} as a means of
EDUCATING PEOPLE ABOUT INTERSEX AND WHAT IT MEANS.....

Though I did use an older article about Ann Coulter's statements, it should be realized that this is not an idea she abandoned some time ago, Coulter has yet to learn the art of apology. She does not recant this and should she continue her warped and biased thinking I doubt the future holds any changes in bizarre statements or the way she see life.

I don't know that coulter person but I just looked at her picture and wow she does really look like a man. So if it's true from what I have been reading that is sad for her. If she hates being a female then she needs to fix the problem. Dr'''s pertform that surgery everyday. For her to say "take away women's rights to vote" is ridiculous. So I guess she must really not be a female. Or does she mean take away democrat women's rights????? She is clearly insane and must have some sort of mental issues with being a female She has to realize she will lose her rights as a woman too. The repubs are all about taking away women rights. That's why I am having a hard time understanding why anyone would vote for those 2 idiot repubs. They are not interested in anyone that can't help them Trying send women back to the stone age is not an option for me. I believe we should have the same rights as our male counterparts when it comes to voting and wages. I think all repubs should make sure they take their meds before they leave their homes. When they open their mouths the dumbest things come out. They all should think at least 4 times before they speak. I think also since she doesn't want women to have any rights then she should be stripped of any she has right now I bet you wont like that.

Here are more gems from Coulter:
We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war.

If we're so cruel to minorities, why do they keep coming here? Why aren't they sneaking across the Mexican border to make their way to the Taliban?

Liberal soccer moms are precisely as likely to receive anthrax in the mail as to develop a capacity for linear thinking.

In fact Sarah Palin has created more jobs than Obama has. She created eleven jobs fact-checking at the AP just for the Palin autobiography.

Democrats couldn't care less if people in Indiana hate them. But if Europeans curl their lips, liberals can't look at themselves in the mirror.
