In one of history's most stunning victories for humane farming, Australia's largest supermarket chain, Coles, will as of January 1 stop selling company branded pork and eggs from animals kept in factory farms.

What a precious video! It is worth getting past the painful opening to enjoy the clever message! I just shared with several friends who are in the sustainable farming movement. Noted - thanks!

It's great but what about the "best county in the world?" Why can't we shut down factory farms & prevent ranchers from grazing cattle & sheep on public land?

Such, such good news! I'm sure they have noticed their sales of free range pork, chicken and eggs increasing. So great they are willing to step up and take this stance. Thank you Kit for sharing the good news!

" Recently passed laws in Iowa and Utah threaten jail time for anyone working undercover and taking pictures or video of animals in factory farms without permission."

That policy would indicate there is something to hide. Local, real cage free eggs are good! I've met a couple people now with chickens in their backyard, and they give eggs away as they have plenty. The one group of 5 chickens I saw, they were beautiful, and living in a beautiful Tuff Shed decked out just for them:).

Noted, Great news. Thank you Kit.

finally, the day has come when pigs fly! The world is changing because all who have hearts cannot tolerate the cruelty that has been tolerated due to ignorance of truths thanks to the internet and information being so readily available and that spreads like wildfire. Thank you Kit, for being a world-changer, and thanks to all for spreading the truth so that we can all shift into a new world where kindness is the way. And you know what follows that? Peace on earth. Its just the natural progression of things. This is the great "shift" of 2012 happening.

Coles and Woolworths together account for a dominant 80 percent of all supermarket sales in Australia.

That is major in the Country of Australia. I hope this spreads to other Countries and that the other 20% join in that are in Australia.

Wow, Pe' Sla and this in a matter of a couple of days! I agree Arielle, hope for mankind, that our humanity is rising.

I have to say that I have been educating myself about factory farms and such for a while now. I think if every person on Earth was made to sit down and get the real facts of this situation we would have a revolution before sunrise. I have never been so shocked in my life. I can't believe how in the dark I had been for way too long. It's so great to see so many people fighting to put an end to all of this. I am right there with ya 100%. As always ty KIt.

Oh happy day and don't I wish this excelsior moment of glorious epiphany would burst forth in the minds of North Americans. Hallelujah and pass the grass fed beef will you?

Praise the Lord, at least something positive and good. Eating very little meat and only from farm animals which are able to graze outside - that's my way of not contributing to this horror.
