Kim began the month of April with a fresh round of threats, announcing today that North Korea had blocked South Korea on Pinterest. Need I say AGAIN, this is HUMOR!

While he is amusing, pathetic, and mad, he has dangerous weapons that might not reach the states, but he could kill thousands of South Koreans. Thanks for the laugh! N, S, T

I love Borowitz!
Is Kim, on the other hand, trying to do "The Mouse That Roared?" Maybe he is just trying to make up for a mousy little tool. Who knows?
The Shadow knows!

LOL, thx Kit. That's right, he deserves a rest like all other hard workers do on weekends! He might also be exhausted from eating too much ...

Is he mad or is he the present day Fu Manchu evil genius? Or...Maybe just a wee man reaching far beyond his abilities to prevent his mouth from over loading his brain. yep, Only The Shadow knows.

Andy Borowitz is so darn funny. But then, he does have an awful lot of material to work with. Let's face it, Kim Jong-un is a comedian's dream come true!

Thanks for posting this, Kit!

I'm beginning to get really worried about this man. I was tempted to write something flippant like everyone needs at least one day off a week, but I'm beginning to wonder what his aims really are.

I actually had hopes for this young man when I saw a documentary a few years back while he was attending college in Europe, he dressed normally, he seemed to have a chance at moving into the mainstream. But then reality came. Still, I wonder sometimes how much freedom he really has in anything he says or does. I think it is the North Korean military establishment that holds the true reins of power, they could undo him in a heartbeat if he stepped out of line. He must live in fear of that. If there is a positive, it is that the military also knows the threats are empty and would never dare attempt to make any of them real because they know that would bring a rain of fire upon them such as they never saw during the active "police action" in the 1950's. I don't think they believe they can count on China this time the way they did then. They are tiresome, yes, and the piece is funny, but they are really like one of those small forest creatures that can puff themselves up to twice, or more, their actual size so as to frighten off, or try to, predators. Plenty of bark, no real bite potential. What we ought do is simply ignore them, watch them, but do not engage in doomsday rhetoric. They're no more a threat to us than Iraq was.

Yet we in the US are rattling the sabres of close to one thouand bases around the world all the time and have quite a few nuclear miusiles on alert with 2 people ready to shoot each other on a moments notice with drills in which they do not know if it is real or not until after pressing the buttons. One silo in Wypming with missile was on fire for 4 days before it was noticed. One ariplane carried a nuclkear bomb across country without knowing it was there. We have lost an h-bomb off the shore of Georgia or Carolina, and have had three times at Los Alamos over the years when someone sacrificed their life to use their hands to keep a reaction from accidentally going critical.
I watched a show on aricraft carriers and they said their job was to project US power all around the world wherever they go or stop for port call.
Noth Koera on the other hand, like all of Korea, know what it is like to be occupied by Japan most of the time from WWI to WWII. We wouldn't want them not to be paraoid because we need our bases right next to them and China forever.
The fact that we occupied and acquired by might Guam and Hawaii in their region and have lots of bases in Japan isn't neceassrily a peaceful gesture. And the B-2 looks like a demonic bat that makles us all look pretty batty.
