I can only hope that All the networks that he brought attention to will be embarrassed enough to start responsible reporting! I guess that I would rather laugh at Jon pointing out the obvious with biting humor than cry about how awful our media has become.

There's a lot of truth in all that humor. But thank goodness for being able to find humor in all that mess.... we so need to be able to laugh. Shower of stars to you, Kit!

He's so great, I LOVE Jon.!! BTW, I stopped watching the news networks after the 2nd day because of the 'over and over' repeating, of the grief and horror of what happened. The reporters were desensitized, (did I mention?), after going over and over), the information, that it was hard for me to watch. What I did do, was go fill the bird feeder, mowed the lawn, and weeded. I prayed (in my own way) for comfort for the gone, and fallen, and the families coping their loss. Thank you, Kit for this,

I do believe we need those twisted minds that dig out the funny side of the worst of times. Some years back one of the top selling books was nothing more than a man who copied down all the jokes people told while standing in the many lines in the old USSR. Smiling and laughing is human nature.

Thank you for sharing Stewart's hysterical parody of the media. The sad thing is that far too many people believe everything they see, hear, and read without question. (N, P, T)

Those damn dogs WILL bark. And set reporters a scurrying. Now THAT is what an ambulance chaser looks like, for those who didn't know. All of them...

I watched this on TV, and Jon did a great job. So glad the comedy hour puts things into perspective. I wish old George Carlin was around, but grateful for this man and Colbert afterwards.

Playing with your cat was far more productive, Lee. The news has been a crush of Pundits guessing about what will come next, a flash of people bleeding and more guessing. I spend time outside to avoid the temptation of flipping on the TV.

yep, Jon has a wonderful ability to help us laugh and allows things to settle down.

Noted. Thanks, Kit. I never miss a night of the Daily Show/Colbert. Helps me sleep better.
I only watched the network feed immediately after it happened, because they broke in and interrupted the show I was watching. Then I kept msnbc on with the volume off for awhile while I worked around the house. I couldn't stand to watch the cable channels just sit there and say they weren't going to do any guessing. Jon did a great job on this segment---Bravo!

BTW, you can go to ComedyCentral.com or TheDailyShow.com and watch the show in segments, as well as all the interviews and "extended interviews."

Thanks Kit I needed a good laugh today. Jon's highlights of media reporting is priceless. He is a very funny guy but the media really did a good job of writing his material for him. lol

Basem Yousef ( Egypt's Jon Stewart ) has been questioned by the public prosecutor and released on bail upon a complaint from President Morsi supporters . What a shame !!!!!

Basem Youseff was on Jon Stewart last night. He is brilliantly funny, knows how to wield the sword of satire, and is being harassed by Morsi. Youseff was a heart surgeon before finding his calling as a comedian.

Noted. Humourous, I like the guy. But didn't watch the whole video. Let's see, the US has had so many tragedies lately. I think it was between Aurora and Newtown that i decided to not give ear to news channels until the ACTUAL NEWS came through. I'm sick of speculation and non-news. I suppose it's done for ratings? The owers that be at the stations expect them to get the first crumb, to get the viewers before they go elsewhere? I want news, folks, as bad as it may be.

Jude, this is supposed to be funny, not serious. Stewart is not attempting to be a news source only to bring humor from the farce.
