This conference is certainly a good idea. The phony balanced coverage of climate change is hardly balanced, considering the overwhelming numbers of legitimate scientists and studies supporting climate change and the tiny minority of "scientists" and their stories that still say global warming doesn't exist. A unified front with so much strength will be hard to oppose, but the nitwits will give it their best, irrational shot, I'm sure.

The answer (based on numbers of what mention, article length in words or minutes) is of course they did--the question is will any cover this conference any better?

Agree Ben, it seems most people don't care. Although that's a bit misleading as I believe the majority are having a difficult time just staying above water, especially since the middle class is pretty much gone. The poor have all but given up since the GOPTP keep cutting the little bit of help they had. Climate change is the farthest thing from their minds. The press hasn't helped here either. They go for all those misleading headlines, the crap pulled by the GOPTP, and of course everything but what they think will be boring to their subscribers. So many people really don't understand the extent that climate change will affect them - or how they really do affect the climate worldwide. The press could have helped with that...starting years ago.

Ben said it.....

And for the rest: we all failed on global warming, an issue known since the 1970s..... and nobody (ok, hardly anybody) took it ever serious.

Thanks Kit!

Well they sure did not help and the few people and organizations that tried were shouted down or denounced by the blather of the paid experts

Media just follow policies of the networks they work for. World wide there are many people aware of climate change and trying to do their best on a local level.

This is a subject that is too big to sideline, and the media should have played their part in helping to inform the public. I guess it's not a subject that people want to hear about - it's very often bad news, so perhaps it doesn't sell newspapers?
