I saw this video and was so glad to see the President take the helm on this subject. Someone has to give the young black men in our country some hope and a chance to do good and to learn and become great citizens, instead of holding them down and even killing them. We are all in this together.

Pushing back, upwards and onwards beyond cynicism. I admire his thought process and rejoice at the role model he has become. Not many of those these days. Not a bad idea to raise up more of our positive influences and w/o squashing critical thinking, not give so much "press/media time" to the criminals. On another note, settling for a roof and food in prison should look hopeless compared to success in school and life. Gotta do something about those prison quotas...

Noted, tweeted. There are some issues I'd challenge him on (frankly, I didn't expect that when I campaigned for him in 2008, but the man's as human as the rest of us) but this just yells out to me "See - this is why I voted for the man!" Hopefully, more Americans will listen...ASAP.
