On 1 January, the ban on the sow stall came into force across the European Union*. But official data seen by Compassion in World Farming indicated that, sadly, up to 14 nations would not comply on time. The countries we believe may be in breach of the ban

I new it before. I have 2 pig farmers as neighbors, I did not see any rebuilding their the last years. I searched for a address where I could find more information on the conditions about this EU law in the Netherlands. Nothing. It's a dark and closed bound between the parliament and the big business that meat factory is in the Netherlands. Meat producers have a great power here. They are always good represented in parliament and have a big lobby in the EU. It would not surprise me that they have already asked for postponement.
