US Politics & Gov't  (tags: candidates, dishonesty, elections, politics, McCain )

McCain is ignorant about pay equity, wants to overturn Roe v. Wade and likes to brag about his "sexual conquests" and visits to a strip club.

Thanks for the post, Tim dahlin'.

After seeing the way he treats his wives, this is not surprising.

(Love the article graphic. LOL!)

I absolutely agree with you both Tim and Carole. McCain is just bad for everybody. McCain is bad for women, bad for men, bad for children, bad for everyone. McCain is bad for our country, and he's just plain bad for the whole world. I personally feel McCain doesn't stand a chance in November.

And yes, I love the article graphic too, right on the point!!!

I have 2 questions 1. Has John McCain actually been there when he voted? Apparently not since he seems to have no concept of what his voting record is. 2. Is that John McCain's dog?

Lies of McCain listed... add to it if you know of any...

There are hundreds of these directed at Obama.. this is possibly the only one on McCain.

What is up with you people? This is my first visit to Care2.com. This is how you care?! And I object to images of dogs being used to deface and put down Senator McCain.

Why? For one thing he is the animal lover in this election! Senator Obama will get a dog for his girls if he wins the presidency. His words - I couldn’t make that up. Senator McCain has two dogs, one cat, 13 saltwater fish, three parakeets, two turtles and a ferret. (Per CatChannel.com)

Another fact is that the Republican party stands for lower taxes. Why should women and animal lovers care about this? Because the higher the taxes the lower the donations to organizations that benefit women and animals. Have you ever heard of an SPCA getting federal funding? A shelter for women that I support has never and will never receive a dime. They count on people like me – small business owners – keeping them going.

Right now, for example, we are paying a windfall TAX to the government on GAS – click here to see exactly what I am talking about. Note -- Lib Dems took control of the house in 2002. Look carefully at this graph & ask yourself if we can afford to keep them in control by electing their candidate for president ... I was blown away when I saw this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Oil_Prices_Medium_Term.jpg

Finally, click here for factual information about Senator McCain. He is a good man. Whether or not you agree with conservative values of small government, giving us affordable energy NOW and letting us keep more of the money we earn he does not deserve these disrespectful posts.

I am a woman and I am an animal lover with two dogs, a cat and Peetie the birdie and I am definitely voting for Senator McCain. Conservatives and Indies may be underdogs in this election but we’ve been there before …. This county won its independence thanks to a group of courageous, stand fast underdogs … (watching the John Adams Series – it is awesome! Order it from Netflix too!)

So – instead of kicking us in the teeth and our candidate – why you take a couple a minutes to know a little bit more about the man -- Click here: http://www.biography.com/featured-biography/john-mccain/

No offense, Viv but the links you provide are hardly factual sites. eg. Wikipedia.

'Another fact is that the Republican party stands for lower taxes. Why should women and animal lovers care about this? If I read your above quote correctly, you are saying that electing ANOTHER Republican will be MORE of the same. McCain scares the h*** out of me. Firstly, he is TOO old and out of touch with the sentiments of the American people. Secondly, there is some controversy about his eligibility to be considered to run. Thirdly, his own comments regarding women are in the poorest of taste to say the least. To sum it up, I would rather abstain than vote for him, period.

You are entitled to your opinion but I found the picture rather amusing, unlike the racist and suggestive picture the New Yorker ran on Obama. I will NEVER pick up another New Yorker magazine as long as I live and I used to enjoy that magazine. I hope you find your sense of humour soon....

Thanks to all who have noted and commented.

Maggi,
There IS some question as to McCain's eligibility
to be president. He was born in the Panama Canal
Zone, but he was born on a U.S. Naval Base(his father
was an Admiral), and there is still some question as
to whether that qualifies as U.S. territory and whether
McCain is really a U.S. citizen.

Ms.Stoneberry,
welcome to Care2, and I'm sorry your first experience
here was a negative one. You should know that liberals,
progressives and democrats FAR outnumber conservatives
and republicans here, and Care2 is not always friendly
territory for the conservative-minded. It isn't that we
"don't care"; we do, and quite deeply.
Please follow your heart, and vote for McCain if he really
is your choice for president. We are not here to squelch
dissenting opinions; quite the opposite, we are here for
the free exchange of ideas. But, be prepared to encounter
some virulently anti-government sentiments....alot of them
come from me, I might add, as my friends can tell you...as
you ca see from looking at the billboard on my profile page.
I do hope this will not turn you away from Care2, because this
really is a great place with some wonderful people.
And, thank you, Ms.Stoneberry, for commenting on this story.
Namaste!

Thank you kindly, Christine!
You should check out the
"No in November" group.

Remember during the Vietnam War,
protesters carried signs that said,
"What if they gave a war and nobody came?".
We're asking,
"What if they gave an election and nobody came?".
I say, Let's find out!

He is a clone of Bush, I think they could possibly be joined at the hip. If he could call his wife what he called her it only shows me that he has no respect for women & has a low opinion of them. I think government should stay out of women's personal life { abortion )too many women died during botched abortions using clothes hangers, a woman will have an abortion no matter what, better it be in an abortion clinic then in some back alley. Abortions should be a woman's personal choice & not dictated by the government as being immoral, every woman has her own personal reasons for having one performed.

where do people get the idea that republicans equate to lower taxes?... if they would do their homework they would find what actually happens during a republican administration (and, i might add, what has fueled the mess we are currently in)... the wealthy actually are the ones who end up getting the tax breaks and the ones who have ALWAYS carried the largest tax burden "the MAJORITY of the(USA)and the lower middle income tax payors" will be the ones who get it in the behind, as per usual...:(

oops, sorry i reread that and i goofed i meant to say lower middle income earners... duh...:(

viv,

The republicans LIED, INVADED and MURDERED to ROB.

Our Time, Labor, Money and Lives are being Vacuumed up to pay for their wars, their factories, and their bases overseas.

Our children are being USED to Murder for the ''market share'', the raw materials, and the cheap slave labor that the deregulated corporate military dictatorship needs to retain control of NEWLY POOR American SLAVES.

CARE2 is HUMANITY. Your political propaganda will not be believed OUT HERE here in the FREE WORLD.
