I would feel more confident if the CEO of TransCanada hadn't gone to the State Department for closed door talks just two weeks ago. Also, troubling is the nomination of a former Mobil Oil Corporation employee to the Secretary of the Interior job. This administration has voiced an approach to energy now commonly known as "all of the above." People who care about the earth and the future of life on this planet reject any persons or policies that support any form of continued use of fossil fuels. But, we can always hope that Secretary Kerry will be a vocal advocate for real change and for real action to transition this nation away from fossil fuels.
